Do you remember?

(Check my age) I have heard "Remember, Walking In The Sand" hundreds of times since it came out in July 1964, when I was 16. Over all the years I thought it was just another 4-black girl band from Philly or Motown singing sad love songs like the Jaynetts (Sally Go Round The Roses). Even when I saw the album cover, I did not know the were white girls. (Note the shading of the picture). I did notice they sounded a little tinny. They also did Leader of the Pack, which I thought was uncommon for black culture back in the day, but that song sounded more black. Surprise, surprise. Paraphrasing Philosopher Bo Diddly, You can't judge a band by its cover.
