Was my reddit question about a scary movie scene really ridiculous?

I was on reddit and made a post on a movie page asking if anyone else found a certain scene scary even as an adult. One of the comments were like "what a ridiculous question. Do you think out of hundreds of thousands of people who have scene this scene that was intended to be scary, that you're the only one who thinks its scary?" Obviously i dont think that. I was just trying to socialize and discuss the scene is all. I think the guy was taking shit too seriously.

I don't like reddit for that reason alone. You're supposed to mind your manners and not attack others on the site, and the moderators take your question off for no reason. I posed a question on a KDrama category, and I was told it was better off moved to another group that was a sub group. I did that, and it was taken off that one too, saying it wasn't;t the day to post these kind of questions. It said I could email a MOD about it there. I didn't see a link for that anywhere, so I asked the question, how does one speak to a MOD here? And for that I got banned for a week on that group. It didn't make sense to me, and when I asked about it in a regular group about my own city, I got made fun of because it was not the place to ask. Very confusing site--there are some that are better than others, but in some the people can be rude and don't adhere to rules.

Talking about scenes that still scare you as an adult is super normal, especially on a movie page. That commenter was just being unnecessarily condescending. Film forums exist exactly for what you tried to do: connect, compare reactions, geek out over specific moments.
