It takes a lot to scare me and neither of those did the trick. The xenomorph in the original Alien, which wasn't revealed until close to the end of the film, scared me. Not only was it scary, the way the characters reacted to it was downright frightening.

One of my favourite flicks is an Argentinian film called the hidden face, it’s terrifying, I think foreign films can often be more scary than something in English because it’s just not as easy to understand, plus you have to pay attention to the subtitles, makes it more suspenseful.

I think the grudge was scarier. It's more unexpected and faster.

Asian horror is horror like no other. It's unbelievable how creepy their horror films are.
For Kairo I was wondering throughout the entire scene when I would supposed to be scared.
The Grudge was honestly much more of a surprise than a jump scare. I was caught off guard due to the prior boredom.
Definitely C.Not really. It's too predictable. Same with jump scares.
What scares me in general, is horror anchored in reality.
Like something normal, real, but with something off, enough to feel it's not normal, but not enough to see what it is.The clips were suspenseful, because I knew that something was about to happen, but they weren't scary. 'Pulse' was a much better film than 'Kairo'.
Why do i feel like you would be jumping a lot watching these movies in the theatre. 😋
Funny thing - if you watch them without the sound, neither is scary at all. LOL
The Ring was scarier.
Neither are scary to me, at all.
