I really love instrumentals, especially when I’m painting or reading 🎧 They feel more emotional sometimes, like the lyrics are there but only in your head.

One I’m obsessed with is the instrumental of “City of Stars” from La La Land, and also the piano version of BTS’s “Spring Day.” Both are so soothing and cinematic 🎹✨

A little difficult to explain, but this song is such a vibe to me… it came out around the time I first visited Florida since I lived there a few years ago, so I was listening to it a lot on that trip. It ended up really sinking its teeth into me in the time I was there… I miss it.

There’s just a somber, melancholic, yet hopeful feel about the music… a vibrance, but a sadness. It was winter time when I visited, but Florida winters have a lot of radiant sunshine and are warm, but still a brisk chill to the air at times. I get all of those feelings in the chords and production in this song. The opening riff even feels a little bit southern…

It all just really hits me in a particular way. And there’s almost a dreamy quality throughout… It’s a very “visual” song for me and I just feel overcome with memories.

Totally depends on the song and how/why it is being played.

I have instrumentals for playing in my massage studio. Personally, I prefer lyrics in songs. Beach Boys had both great harmony and lyrics. Many standards from the 30's to 60's too.

There's a lot of instrumental music I enjoy but if the song has lyrics I'd rather hear them. Lyrics help me remember the melody, and establish the mood of the piece.
