What was your first gaming console and what year did you get it?

My first gaming console was an "Atari 2600", it was a gift from my uncle, bought it for me back in 1989, i was just nearly a 4 y. o kid but no one was able to beat my score in "River Raid", it was my favorite game on the Atari 😁

I miss my Atari, where have you been for 37 years 🥺🕹

Mine was a dusty old NES my dad brought home around 1999, way after its prime 😂 I was this tiny kid obsessed with Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt, drawing the characters in my sketchbooks after school.

I still remember blowing into those cartridges like it was some kind of sacred ritual 😅 That clunky gray box basically sparked my whole love for visuals, games and art 🎮✨

Yep! I took it and still own it. It's in my closet with other gaming systems I have owned. (No joke, except the stealing it part). My first console though was a colecovision that my grandfather owned and gave to my brothers and I. I still own that as well. In fact, I still own the following:

The first irrelevant gaming console was some old Taiwanese model, totally unknown - nothing special... but then I got my first Nintendo, one of the best gaming consoles ever... later I got Super Nintendo for my birthday... and I felt even better after I tried it.

I'm guessing it was the late '70's we got the Magnavox Odyssey 2000. It only had three games internally and no cartridge slot. It had Pong, Handball (solo Pong), and Hockey. It had two knobs on it for controls. My favorite was Pong.

I've never heard of the Fairchild. Mine was red, two knobs and two switches. Inside was a holder for 4 to 6 "C" cells.

Actually not until the year 1993 or 1994 i had my first 64 bit nintendo with the megaman 1 and contra cartridges...

Mega man 1 and Contra were not on the Nintendo 64, they were on the original 8 bit Nintendo from the 80’s

Duck hunt. Mario. Can't remember if streets of rage and golden axe was on it or the mega drive. Used to play a friend's mega drive until I finally got the SNES. A friend also had an amstrad, it was pure crap and you had to wait an hour until the game loaded. I remember the bazooka thing for the SNES
