i must admit it was quite something of a horror movie, I was cracking up

“Obsession” is totally one of those so-bad-it’s-good thrillers 😂 It tries so hard to be dark and intense that it almost turns into unintentional comedy. The over-the-top acting, wild plot twists, and melodrama make it hard to take seriously, so laughing through it makes sense. It’s perfect for a fun watch with friends, not for deep horror vibes 😈🍿

I liked the movie, it maybe a little bit overhyped, and I personally think that a lot of people in the online discourse around it didn't understand that it was supposed to be a "Careful what you wish for" made in horror.. So they try to paint the movie as it being a horror allegory for abusive relationships with the character Bear being the abusive one.. I thought it was well acted, but there was something silly and kind stupid about it..
