Overall the sound of the sea wins in my book especially if I’m at the beach. If I’m at home the sound of rain is relaxing especially if I’m relaxing in my screened in porch.

Rain feels cozy and cinematic, like being inside a Ghibli movie or a moody indie film, especially when I’m painting or listening to an audiobook. It creates this intimate little bubble.

The sea is beautiful too, but it energizes me more than it relaxes me, unless it’s late at night with gentle waves 🌊✨
