Can fans petition for a You Again sequel to fix its unrealistic ending?

I really hated the movie You Again. It's so super unrealistic. The bully gets caught, she suffers only one bad night, only says sorry after her engagement is called off and still gets married... without ever expressing true remorse.

I wish a sequel would be made where the man finally sees who she is, divorces her and apologizes to his sister for reacting horrible.

I have never heard of this movie, had to Google it. Looks like it was a box office bomb and only has 20% on Rotten Tomatoes, a lot of critics body-slammed it. So you're not the only one who hates it. With a film that bad I wouldn't even bother to give it a sequel or give it that kind of attention at all, it's like re-validating it. Let it stay dead in movie flop history.

True. I was so upset seeing the ending of that movie because it really was super unrealistic. The bullied victim's own parents would have already told the bullying fiancee to get out of their house and don't come back. No real, loving parent would continue talking to the one that tormented their child. As for the brother, no real, loving brother would be still go along with the wedding.

I get your frustration 😂 That ending wraps things in a super glossy “forgiveness solves everything” bow. But realistically, a sequel is extremely unlikely. The movie didn’t perform big enough to justify one, and studios rarely make sequels just to “fix” character morality.

Fans can always petition online, write fanfiction, or headcanon their own darker sequel where he wakes up, divorces her, and actually owns up to how he treated his sister 💔🎬
