Your problems with the Star Wars sequel trilogy?

Title says all. A lot of people don't like these movies, and I understand that. I just wanted your guys' take.

I didn't have any problems with the sequel trilogy, per se.

Indeed, I saw EVERY Star Wars movie in theaters when they were first released until Solo came out; I had to miss that one. If there have been any since - and I am talking in theaters first, not streaming - then I don't know about them.

My REAL problem is that Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney who will just milk it dry. There is so much Star Wars now that no one can keep up and that just renders any single piece of Star Wars to be temporary worthless crap.

I do have a problem with the prequel trilogy: Hayden Christiansen is worthless. His Anakin has the personality of an enema.

Also, I have a problem with the retronyming horseshit. The movie I saw in 1977 was "Star Wars", not "Star Wars Part IV: A New Hope". That's bullshit. In fact, they've altered all the movies so much since their original release that you probably have never seen an original Star Wars movie from the 20th Century. Case in point: "Return of the Jedi" (which was originally named "Revenge of the Jedi" but that was changed before release) came out in 1983 and has three "Force Ghosts" of Obi Wan, Yoda, and a Anakin. In the original movie, the Anakin who appeared was old and played by the actor who played Anakin earlier in the movie when Darth Vader's mask finally comes off. But, when these movies were re-released in the late 1990s before the first prequel came out in 1999, they replaced his Force Ghost with one of Hayden Christiansen! That pissed-off a lot of people.

Seriously, stop investing time and money in Star Wars. I did. It's hard to respect something that doesn't respect itself or its audience.

The writers had no respect for the original story.

Rey was dull, flawless, uninteresting, yet she was somehow amazing at everything. Po and Finn were useless counterparts to make her seem better.

Kylo Ren was a joke of a villain. There was no substantial story of a conflict between good and evil. All the villains were just punchlines. Weak, pathetic, unintelligent, and not intimidating at all.

It can all be summed up in two words though. Kathleen Kennedy.

Another big problem is that in every Sci fi genre from starwars to startrek to Snargate to battlestar there is a set up rukes of the universe of science and technology basically how everything generally works. In the sequels they acted like these rules didn't exist and rather than writing the story around the rules like the orginial trilogy and prequels they did it the other way around ie the holdover maneuver or hyperspace skipping. Disney did the same with the new startrek series ie Khan beaming himself to another planet from earth to Kronos or Scotty beaming himself and kirk on to the enterprise that was moving at warp and was lightyears away when the limit to beaming is from orbit or ship to ship. Why have ships if you can beam to another planet?

Star wars films mostly have never been good. People just get obsessed with the originals yet they are riddled with parts that make 0 sense personally I account that to the time it came out. If you made them films today as fresh new films people wouldn't see them as that good.
Just start poking holes at the original and you will realise it don't make sense with it even starting at the 4th part just to cause more plot holes.

Did you know Vader won't even planned to be luke's father. Which then is why there is a big contradiction that has to do with the force. Apparently the force can sense things so he senses Luke was his son and can feel him when he's nearby yet can't sense Leia though surely there would be a same connection. And then he never felt this in the first film because again in that film he simply wasn't his father.

Which means the force sensing things don't make sense. Because why would it only work half the time. And you'll see this all through star wars were the force just conveniently don't work or does.
Obi-wan just vanishes upon his strike... yeah because that what happens when your hit by a saber lol.
Vader I'll become evil... because it will protect the exact person it killed? Confusion? I will listen to the old crone rather than my long life Jedi master? Confusion?
Death star well... were do we even start that whole thing is a mess then they build it again just for the exact same result?
Trained troopers who can't hit anything and can't even defeat ewoks yet we are led to believe they are securing planets and killed wookie's? I don't think so lmao.
If lighting can be used by the darkside why on earth can't Vader do it? Or Count Dooku?

These are just few questions of many more I would have if I could remember or write all day.
