Would the DCU be better if James Gunn structured Chapter 1 like Marvel’s Phase 1?

I love dc comics they’re far better than marvel comics, but man dc movies are horrible and James Gunn’s universe is all over the place with horrible structure and spotty quality like the dceu was. My question is if James Gunn structured dcs chapter 1 like marvels phase 1 would it have been better? Personally, I think so I mean Superman movie with Martian manhunter cameo, Batman movie, WW movie, GL movie, Aquaman movie, flash movie, then justice league would’ve been amazing to see but alas I’ll stick with the comics until dc movies can get it together

I get your frustration 😅

Structurally, yeah, a clean “Phase 1” style rollout could really help the DCU: solo films to properly establish tone, villains, and supporting casts, then a Justice League event once we’re attached to everyone.

Gunn’s Chapter 1 feels riskier and messier on paper, with TV, animation, and deep cuts mixed in. If the quality isn’t consistently high, that looser structure will absolutely hurt it more than it helps.

the DC movies could be great if they had a cohesive structure. The latest Superman movie was better that I expected. Soon there will be a new Batman movie that will be totally unrelated to any other movies.. They do not operate in a vacuum.

Exactly, my favorite character is Nightwing and I’d love to see a Nightwing movie but we have a long ways to go

There is so much source material from the comics that could be adapted to a movie.

James Gunn is ruining DC. Superman is a pussy whipped bitch boy and Supergirl is a hateful cunt, but it’s okay cuz she’s a “boss bitch”.
Fuck Gunn and everyone who is letting him shit all over the source material to satisfy idiots who aren’t even buying the end product.
