.. and that should be 'respected'.

I am not going to act disrespectfully toward a person who is older bc i understand life is hard and they lived a long time and that too work just to be where they are, plus older people are more prone to depression so don't want to make them feel badly.. However, i can not take someone seriously if they automatically think someone is superior bc of their sex.

Certain things are left in the past bc they do not work or are not right. Likewise, If i had a great grandparent who was a nazi i would not automatically respect their view.
