I think 13 is too old. I had my first kiss when I was 12. it's ok for little children to go with their mother. I would be fine seeing him naked, however teenagers clearly already know what sex is and have a few dirty thoughts so I would be embarrassed by him seeing me nude. He's not a man, but you know he's not a child anymore either. He can shower fine by himself, in the men's shower room
I also remember one time, I must have been around 7 or 8 and my dad didn't want to let me go by myself, so had to go with him to men's shower room and even at that age it was awkward

I know i'm not female but it's fine a lot off kids and adults shower naked in the mixed gender showers no one takes any notice. it's just a shame off the ones that see being nude or naked as a sexual thing when it's not like that at all.
I would not worry about it if i was you there don't have to look if their don't like it.
I would say 13 is WAY to old to be using the family locker room, most kids stop using them at or younger than 6. Let him use the men's he will feal more comfortable. But you are the parent and may have a reason for him to use the family locker

I dont see anything wrong with it me being a guy has nothing to do with how I fell on this so that being said. So you said your sun is now 13 and tell him to get full naked so he get cleaner better where there is others kids girls and boys and other mom but you stay in your bathing suit and shower. To me t hat does not make any since cause you his mom tell your 13 year old sun to gett fully naked to shower where there are other boys and also girls and others moms fully naked that his see. But you his mom see your 13 year old sun fully nude but you shower in your bathing suit and not let your 13 year old sun see you his mom fully nude when you let your 13 year old sun see other moms fully nude so me that makes no since
Not to me, I remember the days my mom took me and my brothers and sisters to the YMCA to take showers because her crack headed ass spent the bill money on drinks and smokes and drugs. Nothing is embarrassing to me though, I was "big" for my age as a kid so I actually made my brothers uncomfortable.
My girlfriend checks her 20 year old son for testicular cancer and hernia in front of his sister, female freinds of his mom, and insists on checking me next. I don't have a problem with it and niether do they. I have yet too see anything on my body every other male don't have.
Personally, I have no quarrels at all with anyone being nude in the family change rooms. As long as they are FAMILY (or somehow related, friends, etc.) then it is fine.
I reckon that anyone under 18 and part of this family group should be all allowed nude in the showers.
I believe everyone in there should be permitted to be nude- aroused or not! Including yourself, because I believe it to be hypocritical that your are dressed in wetsuits yet he is naked.
In short, I believe both of you should be nude as long as your not being sexually inappropriate (although erections are fine because they are uncontrollable)
My wife and myself always had a shower in the morning with our two kids. The boy was 14 and the girl 12. It was my wife that had control of this and I really didn't mind. I think there was more interest in the daughter looking at my son. It's hard to explain, but we were totally comfortable seeing each other naked, although my son did get aroused. No telling of her, but it all ended for the best.
When I was 14 our female PE teacher use to come into our changing/showers all the time. Nobody said anything and just got use to it, although I felt a little embarrassed being nude in front of our female teacher but we were in a male changing room not going into a female changing room.
That is disgusting. Let him shower with the men or wait till you get home. What if there was a 13 year old girl in there with her mother? I don't think that it is appropriate at any age for a male to shower nude in front of any women (other than like his wife if he gets married). It is extremely innapropriate. If you had a daughter in there with you and there was a boy in there how would you feel about that? What if he got a boner in there and you saw that happen? no no no it is weird

Again, why is nudity such a big deal? I have been to places where there was the shower - unisex. No one there thought anything about it. It was an open shower area. As a matter of fact, there where outside, in the open shower, heads as well.

I would be indifferent so do what makes you feel safe. I use family change room with daughters but just change and leave asap. I sometimes shower if empty too.
