My sister is so much more talented than me?

I'm 16 years old turning 17, and I failed 7th grade because I hung out with friends more instead of studying and doing homework so I'm a Junior now. My grades are iffy, I have C's B's only a few A's here and there and sometimes I get D's. I can just sing and play the ukulele. I play basketball for fun, and I always do more chores around the house. I'm more responsible and less lazy haha. Even my sister admits she's lazy, clumsy, and forgetful haha.

My little sister, I feel like she inherited all the talent and brain in our family. She's 13 and is in 8th grade now. She's had straight A's ever since she went to middle school, probably going to have straight a's again in 8th grade. She's in all advance classes, taking even high school class courses as well. She has all these medals and certificates placed around her room. She's musically talented too. She can sing, play the ukulele, piano, and now she wants to get a guitar and learn it. She's even good at video games, and sports. Everyone always tells her she can get a great job like a doctor because she's so smart.

I feel so down in the dump when I see her shining and then I'm just kind of dull. I think she inherited all the talent, but I got the more responsible, type of personality. I'm more social than her because she's really shy. Isn't that suppose to be a good thing? I don't even know. I shouldn't be complaining but I felt like I had to get that out.

If your grades are the main problem, then just study harder. Find a technique that works for you and work as hard as you can. Also, being able to sing and play the ukelele is really good. So you're definitely talented.
Don't compare yourself to your sister. In fact, you really should try not to compare yourself to others too much. They're not you, and we all have different sets of skills that we're born with, and taught. It's ok to compare yourself to others sometimes, since you might be able to use it as a source of motivation, and it's only human to do so. But don't let it become an obsession, because it can be really damaging to your self-esteem. Just realize that, no matter what you do or how good you are at something, someone is most likely better at it than you. But that's ok. You can't always be the best at something. Being really, really good should be enough.
I find that competing against yourself is far more effective. Always trying to better yourself and learning from your OWN mistakes. Turn those C's into B's. Turn those B's into A's. Focus on the things you're good at, the things that make you happy, and the things that make you confident. And lastly, learn how to be proud of your sisters achievements. She worked hard for them. You can do that, too.

Don't compare yourself to her. You are who you are and she's who she is. You're different people so focus on you and don't focus on her

Well the only way to get better is to put your head down in the books at start learning you got to remember that do you want to hang out and party with your mates all the time or do you want to get a good education and set yourself up with a good job and life
