+1 yIts the fucked up hypocritical social standards set by BET and the NAACP. They say they're not about segregation, but they segregate television, society, and social groups, and then give black people an identity that makes them feel oppressed and inferior. Its been proven through studies that if you make people acknowledge their race on a test, black people do statistically worse, and Asian people do statistically better. Its because to some extent they believe the things that are said about them on television and the media.
Furthermore not a lot of people in general got a lot of sense in our culture. Black people included. The black people without any sense are taking tips from kanye west because he in his infinite ignorance has proclaimed himself the leader of the black movement. Motherfucker goes up on stage in a diamond studded mask acting like he's oppressed because he's black. When this is the example set, you can't expect people who follow it to be reasonable. The other elephant in the room is slavery. We're in a country that thinks granting ancestors reparations for the crimes committed to their forefathers is a good idea, which i frankly think just breeds a generation of spoiled ignorant motherfuckers. Some black people think that they know what its like to be enslaved or oppressed just because their great great great great grandfather was, they don't know what its like to be sent to the back of the bus, or to pick cotton all day, but that won't stop them complaining. I've met mexicans who thought they knew the struggle of immigration just because their parents were immigrants, or native americans trying to guilt trip people over the trail of tears. Its just extortion, thats all it is.
Just think of it like this. Right now there are a bunch of social extortionists who act just like rollo goodlove from the boondocks. And there's the stupid motherfuckers who listen to them. Both of them are racist, only one knows what they're doing.12 Reply- +1 y
I just really hate it when other blacks think they should help me because I'm black, really pisses me off especially if its none of their business but they try to make it their own. But the thing that makes me ashamed is how paranoid a few black people are, they think something is always out to get them and they can make a whole problem out of nothing (but this really depends on the person and how they were raised)
- +1 y
its just this false sense of obligation they've been taught about the "black community". You don't know them and you don't owe em anything. You know the only thing stopping skin color from being just like hair color or eye color is stupid fools like that who take it to mean something about your inner self. you keep on paying attention to race and you fail to see whats beneath, all they see is another "brother" doin em wrong. Same if its a white dude, they just take it for granted thats how it is. Piece mail ignorance.

I grew up in a neighborhood in Ohio near Columbus where my family were the only white people in the neighborhood. Literally everytime you disagreed with the black people there you would get called a racist and at some point get jumped.
I don't think -all- black people do that. I think some are preoccupied with their own race... You have a group of people feeling "less than". It isn't one person who feels that way, many do. So I think there is something there that deserves to be explored... however, I also think that if people just stopped being so worried about it and worked hard instead of feeling entitled due to horrible things which happened in the past, then maybe everyone could move forward and improve.

exactly?
+1 ybecause race is something that affects their day to day lives... when your white , race is not an issue for you and you don't notice it because it dosent affect you.. which isn't your fault but its good to be understating and sympathetic to others..(if you want to be that person/your choice..)

i have met several white people but i always repsected them to but never experienced racism before because i choose to handle problems differently
- +1 y
choosing to handle problems differently dosent mean you haven't experienced racism.. anyone can experience racism regardless of education/social status you can't control the people around you and their view/perception of you.. maybe "choosing" to handle problems differently helps you feel like their was no problem but it dosent justify the other persons prejudice..
- +1 y
Nope dear... yeah we indians especially light skinned indians can be pretty racist but more than that it is about culture to culture indifferences rather than skin tone.
Every country has developed complications. Peace wreckers are everywhere.
In fact western, eastern and south Asians are still normal when compared to middleast which is hell.
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yNot all. There are some who do that. Black people are the most stereotyped out of all of the races, to be honest.

+1 yThe riots don't even have to do with the Mike Brown shooting anymore, it's just people taking advantage of a crappy situation. At first the protesters began with peaceful marches and then cops threw tear gas at then to break them up. By throwing tear gas, cops promoted an atmosphere where violence could easily occur. Some people saw the potential for violent anarchy in the city and started rioting ans looting, not for Mike Brown but for their own gains.
And I'm from Haiti where 90% of the people are a black and we're taught to be open minded with everyone. When I moved to the US, I saw a great amount of diversity, but they were also lots of people sticking with their own groups and I didn't get that. I loved to chill with everyone regardless of race and when something bad or annoying happened to me, I knew it was because I was an obnoxious smart ass and not because I was black. I don't use the slavery or black race excuse as I had learned in haiti to overcome challenges. But people who constantly use the slavery and race card annoy me to no end. Yes racism does occur, but it's blown out of proportions.00 ReplyI don't make everything about race. But some things are about race and sometimes white people like to dismiss it rather easily. Go on Youtube, Facebook, CNN, BBC, or any other social media or media outlets and read the comment section. You'll notice that there are a good number of people that choose to spend their time attacking the black race online by using racist remarks. Mind you that social media tends to most frequently be used by those that are of a younger demographic, a demographic that is suppose to be more open-minded than previous generations.

These cowards do so because they are allowed to hide behind a wall of anonymity on the Internet. For some reason, people will react to racism on the street, but will turn a blind eye to it on the Internet. The same laws should apply on the Internet as they do in our daily lives, so people are racially abusing others on the Internet can be dealt with through the proper channels i. e. arrested, charged and named and shamed.
- +1 y
Umm.. no people will not stand up to racism on the streets, I've seen first hand a white man going off on a racist tirade on an Indian woman and her child on public transit and no one helping her out. When I was a child I was verbally attacked by grown men on in public. So save that, if it happened in public speech.
Not all do, but the ones that do are just trying to weasel out if having to do anything in life. Not work hard, can't get job equals "racists won't hire a black man". Gets arrested selling dope. "If I was white you would have left me off". There are any bad stereotypes at work and while not all blacks exemplify those traits, the ones that due are vocal enough to make them all appear this way. It's the same as everyone now and then there is some idiot demanding reparations for his great great great great great great grandfathers enslavement.
10 Reply978 opinions shared on Family & Friends topic. Because unfortunately institutional racism and racial prejudice still exists in the USA... and through cultural conditioning in this country, black Americans are the most extroverted and vocal about said inequality because they are discriminated against the most overall in the USA.
Few things irritate black American culture, as a whole, more than people pretendig like institutional racism against black Americans "doesn't exist anymore", and that said black Americans are "given equal opportunity but are intellectually incapable of taking advantage".00 Reply
+1 yWell a lot of them are insecure, because not only do they get discriminated against, but they're taught constantly about how white people enslaved and oppressed them throughout history. So a lot of them get a chip on their shoulder against white people. It's sad really, I've known some amazing black men and women.

+1 ywhy would you make a generalization about a population of about 77.4 million based on the actions of a few thousand?
seems to me you made something that really only pertains to a few about an entire race (aka the pot calling the kettle black)15 Reply- +1 y
im a black person and race is an issue against rvery black toeards whites
- +1 y
do you make it an issue in all cases? I don't?
why do a lot of people perhaps do so? history. the 300 years where the majority of actions between blacks and white were racially fueled. lynchings, police brutality, slavery, etc. so I don't know if the stuff in Missouri was entirely race based and wouldn't make that assumption based on what has been said but perhaps my feelings may be different if I lived in that community. You and I are fortunate to be able to look at this from a distance where are rational thought can determine our action as opposed our emotions - +1 y
i live in an city where last year an officer shor a little boy down around the age 12 and he was a white cop. they used this "unarmed teen" as way to start racist. the cop still has his job. turns out the boy was trying to kill tjat cop
- +1 y
I'm not sure I get your point though... I guess that it's not always racially motivated?
It isn't always racially motivated for sure. I live in Philadelphia and I've seen (not personally but through news and what not) the whole gambit. Racially motivated profiling and assaults by police, black on black, Hispanic on black, white on white, etc, etc. But I don't think you or my experience really dictates what happens in everyone else's experience - +1 y
i'll wait to render judgment until all things come to light. but I will say the rioting and looting is completely counter intuitive to any point a real protest should make. it does nothing to support the notion that this may have been a race based killing and only supports those who believe in some subspecies mentality... that is the biggest issue to me, not any sort of race card pulling. I can ignore that but it pisses me off to see people looting, rioting and pillaging the innocent for what the perpetrators believe is a crime against them
Your country is all about white v/s brown v/s black.

thats an issue but when the truth comes to light you were actially a sudpect not a victim
- +1 y
Frame it any way you'd like, but it doesn't change the fact that you're doing exactly as I said with this question.
- +1 y
its the truth. if something occur between a black and a white person, nine times out of 10 a black person gonna make it seem like they are being done wrong and when it comes to light they actually suspect. people pull race cards to much after incidents has occured that were racial profiling so they start a line as if they victims automatically
- +1 y
And White people pull the "you're pulling the race card" card too much. I'm not going to continue this "debate" with you, if you could even call it that lol. Believe what you wish. You asked, I stated my stance.
- +1 y
What does the genocide of Native Americans have to do with this discussion?
- +1 y
That has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of discussion.
But to indulge your irrelevant point, I'm pretty sure the slayings dealt by the Europeans in countries above the Sahara Desert came first. Long before the Queen even fathomed setting out for the Americas. - +1 y
Also Irish people "the forgotten white slaves" of British colonalism are often ignored no doubt due to their skin colour, but they suffered the same level of disdain as black slaves and yet I don't see Irish people walking around with a chip on their shoulder, with an axe-to-grind and they suffered over 500 years of British ruthlessness. Read about what Oliver Cromwell did to the Irish and you may just realise that slavery affected all races of people, not just your own.
- +1 y
That's under the *presumption* Blacks still have a chip on their shoulder in regards to slavery.
- +1 y
You brought up an inaccurate depiction of the first victims of racism. Racism has existed since the dawn of time, it didn't suddenly arrive with the Transatlantic slave trade. The teachers who taught you history ought to be pelted with rotten vegetables for teaching such inaccurate claptrap.
- +1 y
Is English not your first language? You're reading incorrectly.
- +1 y
In the English language "we're" is a contraction of the words "we are."
"Are" is speaking in present tense.
"Were" is past tense.
In other words, you have an incorrect understanding of the English language. I did *not* refer to past tense: "We 'were' the first victims of racism." - +1 y
Even in modern times you aren't the first to victims of racist abuse. Plenty of people are victims of racist abuse.
You do realise there are plenty of different races of people who are current being victims of racist abuse, some are even being ethnically cleansed.
So please forgive me for not playing my smallest violin for you, I'd rather save that for the Tamils of Sri Lanka, the Tibetans of Tibet and the Kurds of the Middle East who are suffering immeasurably at the hands of their adverseries.
Also thank you for the English lesson. I should re-take English lessons to brush up as you should go back and study your history as well as current affairs.

its not an issue of living there its the same factor that caused black panther to step aside. everytime these cases happen blacks always turn up suspect at the end. which is whats going on. they got him on dashboard cam whicj had to be taken off media it showed him shooting at that officer with the gun which is how the struggle started out the car. im ashame of my race because y'all make every white officer seem racist. when an officer shoot he shoot to kill everybody knows that its in rhe handbook

What? lmao not sure where you got that info from. Have you seen this dashboard cam video of him shooting at this officer?
Don't believe everything you hear or see. If you don't live in St. Louis you have not a clue as to what's going on. & As for you being "ashamed of your race," shame on you. lol Self hate is real but who am I :) To each their own.
