I don't know if your able to understand this, but when your in the shoes of a black person (especially a black women because not a lot of black men stick up for them the way they should) you have to realize that most of the time the majority of people are unconciuosly trying to screw us over thanks to their preconceived biases and prejudices. They are more prone to thinking we aggressive or mean and treat us accordingly - holding us to an unfair and unrealistic standard of not making any mistakes or saying that we're ghetto for doing the exact same things that they do. Therefore we have to become that confrontational or angry stereotype and constantly watch our back to make sure others know that they are not aloud to do that - around us and sadly a lot of times it has to be said with a stern voice and not as nicely for them to understand
Especially with the older generation of black parents, I hope you can understand that they grew up in a time right after the civil rights act where sadly it was still acceptable to treat black people like trash to the majority of white Americans. They grew up in that toxic racially charged environment and had to learn to call out that behavior when it happened (so that it doesn't happen again), they also felt very pressured to conform as well as people would come down on them for making even the slightest of mistakes.
Sometimes it can be exhausting as a black person knowing where to draw that line of (are they treating me differently or is this an appropriate response to the situation? Would they react in this way if John the blonde ever did the same thing? Etc) but the one misconception that most white people have about black people is that we WANT to see race in everything -> the truth is we don't either.
I'm sure you are a good person, but it would be foolish of black people to ignore the fact the people of lighter skin complexions are more prone to see them in a negative light and most importantly ACT on those assumptions. For some black people they can tolerate that unfairness and accept the blame even when it's not their fault - but for others it's better to stand up for yourself then be seen in a positive light out of self respect and so we have to constantly analyze these situations in order to come to the best response (not to see race on everything)
But we do get tired of often having to do this with so many other bad people that we can mix up the good with the bag or make poor judgment calls on a person's intentions (like what that lady did to you), and for some in the older generation admitting to making that mistake just feels as if we're validating or giving a leg up to all the people who already hate us.
I'm sure that lady new deep down that that was wrong, but was afraid to have even more things held against her then she has as a black person on a daily basis.
This isn't to justify her actions but rather give perspective

A conditioned emotional response based upon prior beliefs of parents and their environment. It's power some use to get what they want, a conditioned emotional response... based in... sadness, dis honor? In essence, I think it's sadness driving it from being devalued. It's clearly... false.
Not all think like that, but it is a question that arrises in some minds... the simple answer that is convenient. I was mistreated, I couldn't use race as an explanation, I had to find other reasons. I was once a victim of racial bias... In my perception.
This is why often black people are shocked when you treat them exceptionally well.. doesn't fit in their view of reality, challenges their belief system.
It's their culture I guess or using racism to their advantage.
Seriously yesterday I was at a corner store and this black dude wanted 50 cent off two small orange juice because he said it was "hot" the Indian man touched the bottles and looked at him funny and confused, they had words between each other and the guy left and he left the two orange bottles at the counter and didn't return back to the freezer.
The Indian man asked me to touch the bottles to see if it was hot, man the bottle was cold.
This black man just wanted to start drama with the clerk and get a cheap deal for the juices.

Key word "always" makes you sound racist. I for one I'm a negro. I've never done that. None of my family/friends have ever done that, or know someone who did. What you're doing is cherry-picking cases where you saw one Black person lash out, all of a sudden they "always" do it. If I tell you how many times I was called a monkey or an ape in school growing up, and in public as an adult, and then say White people always do that, you will cry saying that I'm generalizing, while in truth racism from White people is a lot more common than a Black person falsely accusing a White person of racism.
Not to call you racist or anything, but it's not "black people." You're referring to the woke idiots out there, and they come in all races and both genders. I'd argue most black people aren't the BLM trash you see on the media. But to answer your question, it's always the low IQ, insecure people (of any race) who do this; as they have nothing else to go to and can't handle responsibility or admitting they made a mistake. You argued with an idiot. Idiots are everywhere. If she was white, she'd probably have been that much more of a Karen (the worst ones happen to be white).
Because people, blacks in particular know they can use the race card to get their way when they otherwise wouldnât. For those who arenât intentionally manipulating situations, they have had âracismâ as the cause for every ill in the black community drilled into their minds that no doubt some believe everything that doesnât go their way is because of racism.
As a black person I think this very post in racist. I've never accused anyone of being racist until now. It's obviously everyone is racist otherwise are society would be better. But it's not anyones fault. It's very unconscious. But I do hate when people generalize. By saying, "why do men" etc etc. Literally talking about a whole race of people because 1 dude pissed you off. But all this is a waste of breath or typing. Nobody ever changes what's in the mirror, they just tell others that they should be the ones to change.
Unfortunately, my people will do that just in anger. I never call anyone racist unless they are actually racist. And I apologize you had to deal with that. But most of the time they need to blame someone else or something when they are wrong. Because they are never wrong. And they will never admit it. Growing around that is not a pleasure. I canât tell you some horror stories. Lol
Did you ever think that perhaps other people with dark skin might react differently than the lady who called you a racist over a damn coupon?
I have been chased down the street by "White" people with rocks, stick, golf clubs and bats.
But somehow, I have found a way not to accuse ever single person with lighter skin of doing the same thing.
Maybe that's something to think on.I donât understand how you equate one experience with a black person to all black peopleâŚit intentionally removes individuality from people by putting them all into on categoric group which you label âalways assume people are racistâ ?
Be careful cause this is the exact logic of neo nazisI disagree with the presupposition. It does not always occur. But when it does, it's because they've likely been the subject of racism before & see a similarity. But many also do it because it's a good way of making a quick & easy villain the masses can attack. But depdnding on the circumstances & the persons behavior, it might not go well.
They don't have a valid argument for anything so they claim racism. Same thing the democraps do. Ya got nuthin to stand on, so you claim racism and bigotry.
People are fukkin nutz.No idea. I've been called racist because of a gluten a dick joke, because my current partner isn't black, because I own my home and land etc. It's nonsensical sometimes.
Because they have been targeted by the mainstream media and are being fed propaganda
Some people use this as al tactic to get what they want. She was hoping that you'd be so upset at being called racist that you'd give in to show you're not racist.
This is a very sensitive topic these days in USA, ethier she faced so much racism in her life or she is trying to take advantage of this and force you to accept the coupon
People are dramatic for no reason sometimes. Doesn't mean all black people are like that.
How would you want them to react? You talk about them being slaves which you claim to have nothing to do with (but most white people did) like it was ages ago. Man-O-Man!!! These people could not even drink from the same drinking faucet or sit in front of the buses or use the same toilet as the whites did until the late 1960's and from then on, even though they "technically" were not slaves, were treated like one in so many cases... Plus, lets not get into the treatment they receive from our law enforcement agencies (they shoot and kill them first, then they ask questions just like the old redneck cowboys) Think about why people do what they do instead of using excuses to blame them for many things that the white man did to them
They have a lot of bitterness because of the slavery days
Because the people they've spoken to were smart enough to intuit when they were about to pull the black card and immediately call it out.
So now they're butthurt and going around claiming that they WEREN'T about to pull the black card thinking that anyone who matters will believe them.Black people as a whole dont idiots do and idiots can be black so meh
I would call this reverse racism, they are upset others have been unfair to them so
they retaliate by being unfair to others. Itâs wrong yes, I have never been racist and get attacked by racist people who think Iâm racist because Iâm Chinese. In my opinion, it's usually because every time they turn on the tv, there's another douche from california or new york, who would never give them the time of day, telling them everyone who doesn't look like them are racist.
