How to kiss someone you haven't seen in a while?

I'm going to see my old childhood best friend sometime soon. I'm 16, he's 17. I haven't seen him in a while/hung out with him in a while. I want to kiss him. I was thinking of bothering him then we would play fight then I kiss him. but, I don't want to make things awkward after. Cause I would be spending the whole day with him, so I don't want it to be awkward, I would say sorry after but I just don't want it to be awkward. I'm also nervous around him last time I saw him recently ( just small talk) I was really nervous around him I was shaking, he's very very attractive now. So, my question is how should I kiss him? When should I kiss him? How do I make things not awkward after I kiss him?

Also, last night we were talking early in the morning at like 1AM and I said, I'd love to go on a late night walk right now, and he said, lol we could now and I said really? and he said mhm I said, let's go. he was like lol really? I'm serious and I said, if I could I would then he said lol ii. Was he just being nice or? Like what happened here? He just went on a late night walk himself

I've always had a soft spot for him, I don't know why but I do and I happen to have some feelings for him.

Let him know why you're nervous, thats the biggest thing. If he thinks you're disinterested because you're staring off into space or notably uncomfortable he'll distance himself from you. He'll either think "gah, she's being nice but she's so scared of me. I'll just leave her alone" or "I came here just to see you! I could be getting plat right now! fuck this, if she doesn't appreciate me then I'm out" Communication is very important and a relationship without it falls apart.

No, sadly, you gotta say you didn't expect him to be so good looking. it must be a pain to shop for shirts. please tell me you got that reference. You also gotta be clear on what you want the relationship to be. Friends that kiss? Friends that have sex? Friends that kiss, have sex, have babies, live together sign realy annoying papers that changes your tax brackets, share bank accounts, grow old an die together. One step at a time of course and if you want more COMMUNICATE it. (wish I had a better way then caps to highlight that) Forgiveness, communication and trust are essentials in any relationship. Oh, you can trust him to lie and keep secrets from you and not have it be a problem. The lies and secrets could be hiding that fancy ass car or trip to the caribbean that he's been saving up for, trust him to have your best interest in mind.

I don't know how to kiss him before I leave.. I don't know if we'll be alone or not :/ like if his parents will be there

If you don't know if you'll have alone time just go for a walk or if you can find any moment during the day just kiss him like it doesn't even matter and then see what he says after.
