Well it depends really, if you kept in touch then they are saying goodnight because they are thinking of you.

Or they may have sent it to the wrong person by accident.

Or they have had a drink and not making sense.

Just ignore it and see what happens, chances are it was sent by mistake if you haven't spoken in a while.

Yeh it sounds that way, maybe they feel it was a mistake to break up.

Just a guess mind, without knowing you 2 personally or the situation of the break up and how friendly you are now its hard to give a good analysis but my guess is that they was thinking of you and maybe feeling a little down and reached out just to remind you they are still there and still think about you.

Nine times out of ten, it's not true. Unless a girl is very technoogically challenged, she wouldn't accidently text her ex (especially if she doesn't want to talk to him). We'd go out of our way just to aviod it, in fact.
