What is the root cause of disrespect?

I'm trying to understand it a little bit more; because when I disrespect someone, I don't do behaviours that others do.

For example, when I don't respect someone, I'll stay away from them, rather than actually DO anything.

Narcissism. The thought that the world revolves around you and other people's feelings doesn't matter as much as how disrespecting them makes you feel.

Superiority. Other people are essentially less worthy human beings than you are.

it may b due 2 anger basically... sometimes i tend 2 disrespect people when i'm angry... although i feel bad after it... :-/

The root cause is that one's parent's never instilled it in him as a child.
