What do you do if you are disrespected?

Well you could put it on the table in a way that it reflects back on them. Careful though that they dont flip the table on you and ask "but why did u feel disrespected?".

Just try to put it on the table publically.
Something like a 3 steps communication.
"Hey. I noticed you did/say this and that" <-- signaling that you observed something
"It gives me the feeling that I wasn't respected" <-- showing what it does to you
"Because of this I want to ask, why you did it." <-- Put the ball in their court.

But sometimes if the disrespect happened in public, you can make the public look at that person and be like "wait. Did u do something mean on purpose?"
And then the person ends up burned.

Or... . you can just walk away cuz a lot of time 50% of the world will hate you and 50% will love you. So choose in which battles you invest your energy.

Calmly solve the problem that is causing me to be disrespected. If I can't solve that problem then I remove myself from the situation because I know I'm better then that. It is a privilege to have me around. I know that without saying it. if someone else doesn't feel that way also I don't give my energy to them long.

I'm usually very calm and respectful but I know how to shut some up if they're crossing a line... there are some exceptions though. I let it and feel sorry for some people, if I feel they're behaving this way only because they're really frustrated/miserable in life.

Nothing, reacting just shows their opinion matters. It's a common trait of gutter folk to fly off the handle but that just casts you in a worst light than the insult. If they persist just reply you have no intention if lowering yourself to their level.

It depends on what is said and who said it, but 95% of the time I just laugh it off.
