How to deal with a girl who's threatening to beat me up?

So this girl at my school messaged me calling me a bitch and she's mad at me. She said that she's mad because I supposedly messaged her boyfriend. Which at first I was confused at what she was talking about but then I realized that me and her boyfriend were both sent a mass message so when I replied, it probably showed up in his messages. But she won't listen to me and she's even threatening to beat me up... honestly she's acting stupid about this anyway. Even if I did intentionally message her boyfriend (it was just a thumbs up emoji) it's sad that she's getting so defensive over another girl messaging him a totally innocent message. Apparently he's not allowed to have female friends.. but whatever that's not the point. How do I tell her to back off without getting her angrier?

In Holland we have a saying. It says "Barking dogs don't bite". If she wanted to beat you up she would probably already have done it.

1) You can seek help from the principal. It's better to not fight I always say.

2) Talk to her and her boyfriend.

3) You can also try hold a mirror in front of. Not an actual mirror of course. Just letting her know how stupid she is acting. For example by asking her why she is angry with you. She will say that it is because you sent a message to her boyfriend. As soon as she says that ask her "Does that mean that every time someone send a message to your boyfriend are going to beat up that person? And does that mean your boyfriend can only talk to you?"
If you deliver it really well she will realize how stupid she is acting. It's better to do this in when you are not alone with her.

What the hell is this guy doing with such a controlling bitch! Get some adults on your side. Parents maybe? Got a big sis or bro? I know I'm older than my bro but he would take no shit from anyone. DO NOT fight back with her. It will only makes things worse. Save these messages or screenshot them if you can. Then immediately go to your counselor or maybe even the dean. She's basically harassing you over nothing. Do nothing but be polite to her and tell someone. The sooner the better. That's ridiculously behavior and threatening someone is wrong.
