I Got Beat Up In front Of my girlfriend and now she treats me like a child. What should I do?

So I'm 21 and my girlfriend is 22 ; we were into a party last Friday at my friend's house. Everything was good but my girlfriend accidentally bumped into a girl. She apologized but that girl started to abuse her and when I saw it I started to defend her verbally but she was really disappointed by me talking back. She called her boyfriend and we had a bit fight verbally and then it came to blows. he started the fight my girlfriend held me back for sometime but eventually I also fought back. but I lost too easily he punched me very badly I had a black eye and sore stomach.
but the worse part is my girlfriend was there to witness it. she consoled me afterwards even had sex but I guessed she's became more protective over me and considering me like a child. she said " she loves me and never wants me getting beaten " and last Friday she was really worried for me !
I love her but I want to be same what we were before !!!

Okay. So. She cares about you. Does not want you being hurt. Seeing you hurt awoke some if her protective instincts. That is good, no?

I did a bit of MMA. Never truly professionally but still fought a fair bit in a safe controlled setting. Got more than a few bruises and cuts, nothing extreme. Girlfriends and even just girl friends would absolutely dote on you after and baby you. Shelter you etc. Never made me feel like less of a man.
Even superheroes get their girlfriends doting on them and sheltering them. She is being protective, not insulting your ability.

If you want to win the next fight.. first, bulk up a bit. Muscle is a much easier and more guaranteed skill than technique. Second, learn some practical martial art, read: simple techniques.
Third. Lose a few fights. Nothing like some experience to get rid of inhibitions. Its like sex. Almost no one is great at first. A lot of people are lucky and are better, but rarely great.

If she won't appreciate you for what you did and risked for her, it is time to tell her you don't like the way she acts towards you. It is natural for Women to want to console and Mother those in need and down on their luck, but there comes a time when she needs to ease up.

I think she's trying to be more gentle towards you since your body isn't at it's best condition right now. You should tell her that she shouldn't worry so much, tell her you're okay, and you'll be okay, and you'll be more careful next time. Take care : )

Sorry to hear but sadly to say you might be doomed , by you losing that fight just killed her looking up to you , Even though you tried it still isn’t good enough, Girls are attracted to a guy that they feel protected and safe with , she won’t hate you but she might eventually leave you for

The truth is , Girl’s tend to like talking about their boyfriends and husbands to their girlfriends when they are together , if a girl can’t put her man on a high pedestal to her friends she slowly starts losing interest , I have witnessed this tons of times when I worked as a bouncer at a sports bar, over hearing girls conversations about their men to each other and basically bashing them to each other on top of that cheating on their partners with other guys at the bar , it was pretty pathetic to watch , something guys rarely do when they are out with their friends , Girl’s are vicious period sadly to say , so his girlfriend in a sense is feeling sorry for him that he got his ass kicked and thinking it was sweet that he stuck up for her , but she is thinking he can’t protect her , She will baby him and feel sympathetic towards him but she won’t have a problem looking elsewhere , When I use to break up fights in the bar , basically the fights a girl started and then her man backing her up and him losing the fight, a few weeks go by and I would see that same girl come in with a different guy , So a majority of girls are attracted to status and feeling protected by their men , if they don’t feel protected and that her man can’t fight she will start losing interest , Girl’s are a rare seed , To find a good one and to keep her you have a lot of work to do to keep her looking up to you, Guys have to play Good and Bad guy to keep her coming back for more , basically balancing it out to where she won’t go for another guy, even though most of us guys are nice guys it’s like we have to be assholes to her at times to keep her coming back for more , It doesn’t take much to please us guys , Give us a beer and let us relax a little and give us sex and we will do every chore on the list without complaining , For a girl to give us sex we better have that whole chore list completed and plus some to get her on her knees lol

And another sad fact is Women complain about being disrespected and cheated on, and taking into consideration everything you just said, they still expect to be looked at highly and respected, and at the same time the majority of them do just as you said, showing up every few weeks with a different guy. Too many think they can do no wrong, and no matter what they do to a guy or put him through, she will always think of herself as royalty and refuses to believe otherwise. Yeah, they complain when their guy can't defend or protect her, yet how often does she do anything to protect herself? Keeping in mind they aren't ALL like that, but just too many of a good number of them.

Taking some Boxing courses can help but in the end street fighting is far different than ruled base fight or sports fighting. It will help you become much more tougher tho and you will last longer in a beating. You can also fight better but other than that just let your girl cuddle ya till you get better. She loves you and she is worried for you not because she she's you as a child but because you are her lover and she doesn't anything bad to happen to ya. But you should also talk to her
