I'm 43 and I haven't spoke to my father since I was 17 years old he never supported me not once on the day I was born until when I was six and my mother took me away it took him two months to call to see where I was even though he knew where I was my mother allowed me to come and visit him in the summertime until I was 17 and even then he hardly spend time with he was too drunk and later too high on drugs to care and allowed my grandmother to take care of me when I was seventeen and he drop me off at the airport I got back home I didn't even call him to tell him I was safe at home and he didn't even call to see if I was until this day he has never called me never tried to make contact even though he knows exactly where I am which is 4 miles away from where he lives

thankfully I have a very loving mother and she was there for me as father and mother
