Why would you accept my friend request and then block me?

just recently I sent a friend request to someone who accepted my request and turned around and blocked me,, I was happy to see that they accepted my request so I clicked on their page to tell them thankyou only to find that I had been blocked just as I was going to say thanks why would you do something like that when I only wish to be a friend nothing more than that, I wonder what you were thinking when you accepted my friend request
