Why do I always end up liking my friends?

First I'll become friends with a girl and I'll be cool with just being friends with them. After awhile of talking to em and hanging out though I realize that I like them. It sucks because I don't wanna ruin a friendship and because whenever I like a girl I fall for her really hard. So that means she is mostly what I think about. It happens almost every time and I know it's a bad situation to keep getting into but I don't know what to do to either keep it from happening or otherwise

This happens a lot actually, and I know exactly how you feel, because certain guy friends I know I'll never like but some it just kinda sneaks up on me and suddenly I like them a lot but I don't want to ruin the friendship so I don't say anything.

But it is natural to start liking your friends because as the other answer says you are with them a lot, and you get along and you talk about things. I was told once that guys are usually not friends with girls that they aren't attracted to. So even if its just a tiny attraction, one you may not be aware of or intend on acting on, it is still there (well according to this guy anyway. but hey what do I know, I'm not a guy!) which makes it easier to start liking someone.

If you don't want it to happen anymore, or less, the only things I can think of are don't hang out with them as much esp one-on-one, and don't talk to them about real personal matters or stuff that would form an emotional bond. Or just take a risk and tell her you like her, either it will be mutual and you'll be happy, or it won't be, and you'll have an easier time not liking your female friends. (maybe).

its perfectly understandable that you start liking your friends, because you see them all the time & you talk to them & you know everything about them. sometimes its okay if you do start to like your friends but not all the time. you should be able to control it & just see he as a friend

Yea I see what you're sayin but I mean it's not all of em it happens with...some I can see as just friends with no problems...but with others I don't know it just kinda comes up
