Friend lost a bet. Punishment?

Hi!
One of my closest friends has lost a bet to me that we were agreed upon the loser had to do something embarrassing.
Fortunately for me she lost, so I secretly asked her mother for ideas to find out what she doesn't like. She told me that her daughter is very shy about being seen barefoot.
So as punishment for the bet, I’m planning to make her spend a day in a mall but she's not allowed to wear anything on her feet throughout the day.
What do you think about this idea? Is it too cruel? Can you think of something else to spice it up?

I like your idea but I just don't think it's much of a punishment. It might feel like a punishment for her but it's not really that embarrassing. Sure, if you feel like that would be a good punishment for her, then go for it. You know your friend better than me so maybe it might still be a good idea.

I used to do bets with one of my closest friends as well, and sometimes we still do. Usually, it's just for fun, but we have had some punishments before. We originally just used to do things like the loser would have to go commando for a day and silly stuff like that, but that became too boring and easy after a while. So recently (for maybe a year now) we started doing wedgie bets. We figured how much we both hate wedgies and how it would be a really great punishment. So we decided to create a wedgie punishment where the loser would be have to keep their underwear in a wedgie for a certain amount of time and maybe go to the mall or something like that. You'd be surprised at just how embarrassing this really is (trust me, I know). Not only is it uncomfortable, but you have to deal with the fact that there is nothing you can do about your wedgie and I just hate it. It's incredibly embarrassing knowing that I have to have a wedgie because I lost a bet.

I found your wedgie in public idea interesting and may use it for next times:) The feeling of there's nothing you can do about it is what I like in those punishments.
So are you telling me that if I make you walk around barefoot in a crowded mall you wouldn't feel embarrassed at all?

I don't think I would find it that embarrassing to be honest - maybe it would be mildly embarrassing and I wouldn't say to the extent where I felt like it was like a punishment. I see people do all sort of weird of things all the time and honestly I don't think being barefoot would be that bad. I guess, it depends on person. If she really hates being seen barefoot then I guess it might work as a good punishment for her.

I definitely think you should try a wedgie. I would definitely love to hear how this goes for you if you do decide to do it.

I really wish that punishment is about her foot shyness this time. I may try wedgie punishment next time if you make this one satisfactory for me. I believe even just being barefoot in a public place is enough embarrassment for her. But if you think it is not embarrassing enough what can I add to make it embarrassing in your opinion? E. g tickling her bare feet in front of a crowd maybe?

ok, maybe you could try tickling her feet in front of people or maybe get other people to tickle them. or maybe you draw something embarrassing on her feet to draw more attention to them or something. how long do you plan on going to the mall for?

I can write "Tickle Me" on her soles and put her in a position that her bare soles exposed and vulnerable. I'm planning to spend the whole day if possible:)

I think that would be a great idea. Make sure you write it big enough though. Do you plan on any more bets soon? Have you been doing this long?

We've been messing up with each other for a long time but this bet thing is new. If it turns out fun or she want revenge we can make more bets.
So would you feel embarrassed if I strip your shoes and socks in a crowded place and have your bare feet tickled in front of them?

It think it would definitely make me feel self conscious. Maybe you should tickle her with a duster. I think that would definitely draw some attention.

Barefoot is good, but the mall may be a problem if she steps on something. The point is to embarrass her not hurt her. If you do that just make sure to bring a pair of shoes for her to be on the safe side. You may be able to just take her to the food court and make her take her shoes off and put her feet up on the table while you eat. That way people will absolutely notice but there is no real risk of her getting hurt.

it could be risky if I make her walk barefoot but I don't think walking on mall floors would be pretty safe. I want her to stay barefoot all day but making her put her bare feet on the table is really a good idea:)

I think tickling would absolutely work to attract attention. You know what you could do? When you get to the mall tell her it’s time to pay up and that she needs to take her shoes and socks off and give them to you for the day. If she chickens out, which it sounds like she probably will tell her you have a counter offer. Don’t tell her what it is until she agrees to accept it. Then let her keep them on till the food court and make a scene by tickling her.

Hahaha great! But if she tries to chicken out, even if she tries to hide her bare feet from display all the time while we're at the mall: We'll tickle her bare feet to bring all the attention to her poor feet! And I don't think she'd get her shoes and socks even afterwards:)

Bring a backpack or something to keep her shoes and socks in to keep them safe for her. The best pranks are the ones that mess with people but don’t do any real damage. You don’t want to mess up the friendship, just make sure she pays up for losing the bet. Have fun with it but don’t be a jerk about it.

You're right I'll keep her shoes in my bag safely, just in case she might really need them. I really like messing up with her even though we are best friends:)

You could always have another friend film the whole, making sure to get people’s reactions. And put it on youtube. But that may be taking it a bit far.

I'm sure she'll hate the idea of being filmed while being barefoot in a public place but I don't think there is anything she can do about it as more she fights against it more attention she will get from the people around haha:) And at the end I should make sure that we film how dirty her bare soles got from walking all day:)

I think so, if she is really that self-conscious about her feet she may be mortified to think someone she knows/likes may see the video.

What if she sees someone she knows/likes at the mall and starts begging me to give back her shoes and socks before they see her in her bare feet. What should I do? Do I cancel the bet or?

Nope, I wouldn’t cancel it for that. That’s a risk you take doing this. If it’s a guy she likes or something you may want to let her sit down and cover them up with a jacket or something but don’t let her get out of it just like that.

Yeah, maybe each time she wants to hide them, is another 15 minutes, half-hour, or whatever she has to keep them exposed.

Yeah, but since she's already gonna be barefoot all day that day, each she hides them, she has to expose them for me for 15 minutes like you said BUT in another day. Like if I ask for her shoes and socks anywhere we were, she has to give them to me without any question/comment and be barefoot immediately. OR I'd publish those videos we took all over her social media:))

Haha good call I'm sure that the idea of having her feet on those websites would freak her out and force her to give me her shoes and socks no matter where we are:) Now I can't stop to think about where and what situations should I use those. Wasting them on a beach (she wears shoes even in the beach believe me) wouldn't be that much of a fun right? I can't wait to see the people's faces (whose almost never seen her expose her feet even in a sandals) when they suddenly see her barefoot in an awkward place and her desperately trying to cover her bare feet or explain where her shoes are:)

That's the best part about it. Nobody is really going to care about some girl walking around without shoes in. They might think it's a little unusual but nobody cares except for her.

The point isn’t really to make people notice her feet. The point is to make her uncomfortable. People don’t care what a few teenage girls are doing in the mall. But she cares. And if she acts weird about it people are sure to look at her which will make her more uncomfortable.

That's why I'm considering inviting some of our friends to the mall also. And I can say her things like: "Hey that boy's are looking at your feet" and watch her reactions:)

So why the problem with her feet? Are they misshapen or ugly? Or is she just weird about it?

Her mother said there's nothing wrong with her feet. It's just a phobia. She said she feels vulnerable and exposed when her feet are bare.

I went on a date with this girl years ago who had a weird thing about her feet too. But kind of in the opposite direction. Like she took her own shoes off while on the date walking around outside. Then wanted to put them on my lap when we sat down for a while. By that point they were really dirty… no second date for her.

Have people paint her feet (little by little) to finish it or have people sign her feet.
People who aren't used to be barefoot can feel physically uncomfortable if they stay that way too long because they their feet are used to the support of shoes or warmth of socks. Give her breaks sitting down. And go for clean areas, if the mall isn't perfectly clean, look for a different location.

I heard she's very ticklish so writing on her bare feet probably would be really funny (for me at least:) ). But I'm not sure how can we get people write on her feet. On the other hand, Her feet will really miss the support of shoes and warmth of socks that day:) And I don't think getting her soles a bit dirty will kill her:)

I don't know the customs where you live, but around here people just approach you asking for weird things, usually as part of a bachelor party, and it's no problem, people usually just comply.
So just get a pen, or some watercolor and a brush and walk up to strangers.
About dirt, personally I don't care about dirt in the nature, but think different about the city. Glass lying around, people barf or spit on the floor, concentrated deposits of smog and other toxins, and who knows what...

I don't think just approaching to people and saying "Hey would you like to paint my friend's bare feet?" would work. But I may make her sit in a crowded place with her bare feet exposed and put some kind of sign that encourges people to write on her feet. But what should the sign say hmm?

I think walking barefoot in a crowded mall is a nice punishment, not too cruel tho since she's not staying for the whole day , but I think she'll chicken out anyways lol.

That would be funny, you can also leave one foot with a sock on and the other barefoot, that'll look hilarious too and it's a good deal since she'll get to stay with one sock 😂

If she tries to chicken out (there is a high chance), I don't think I'll let her wear even one sock:) I'd make her walk barefoot everywhere and take photos:)

Maybe you could write or draw funny things on her feet, but it's already embarrassing to walk barefoot in public.

I really don't want her to sit behind something, hiding her bare feet from display throughout the day. Maybe I can make her have conversations with strangers while she's barefoot. But how?

Go to the most crowded place in the mall and make her do a monkey dance with sounds and all, but she'll be too shy & refuse, it's hard to make friends do these challenges tho it takes a one with a heart of a lion to endure public humiliation.

Yeah she's a bit shy and monkey dance wouldn't work. Maybe I can make her go talk to people and make comment about their shoes which will eventually bring attention to her own bare feet and will be really awkward:)

Yeah that could work xd, but still you could invite a bunch of friends to your house and make her do the monkey dance in front of them and video tape her as well, if she's too terrified to go to the mall.

Looks like she's going to that mall with her naked feet wheather she likes it or not:) But it doesn't mean she can't do a dance in front of our friends before or after it. Maybe I should invite those bunch of friends to the mall as she can't do anything about it:)

That's not embarrassing it's unsanitary. I have no problem being barefoot but I wouldn't be caught dead walking around barefoot in a mall.
