Why does he want me to meet his new girlfriend?

I was kinda dealing with this guy over the summer.We fooled around and stuff and I fell for him really fast (which I never ever do for anyone). Anyways, when I got back to college, things kinda fell apart, he stop calling, starting ignoring my calls/texts. A month later I found out (on my bday sadly) that he has a new girlfriend. She;s is supposed to be visiting my town while I'm back home for Xmas break. The guy really wants me to meet her. He says he wants her to meet all his friends, But I still feel for him and I really don't want to but he's practically insisting that I should. We hang out with about the same circle of friends so it's gonna be hard not avoid them together. How the heck do I handle this type of situation? I really don't think it's my business to meet her honestly; it's hard getting over him as it is already. Should I just decline on meeting her? Is that rude?
