Best friend's brother - off limits or go for it?

Long story short, I like my bff's older brother, who is my age. I knw he likes me back, but we don't want to let his sister know at this time - plus, we don't wanna date yet. School and all.

What I want to know is that if we ever were to date, what should we do about his sister/my best friend? Should we ask her first? Do you think she'd get upset? Help.

if she's your best friend, that means you should be honest with her and be able to talk about anything with her because you trust her and vice versa

also if you REALLY like him and he REALLY likes you, you shouldn't be scared to tell the world and should do something about it, otherwise if its just lust or attraction it might not be worth it because if you guys don't work out there's always gonna be awkwardness not just with him and his house but with your best friend...

Well it really depends on how she is, but I don't think she'd mind much. She might actually be happy about it. The only downside is if you and her brother break up. It might affect your relationship with her.

I'd be careful. My friend dated my brother and completely destroyed him. I'm still friends with her, but I still kind of hold it against her.
