Yes, if you both know and feel like it is only a joke.
For example, I say "err" to my closest friend and call compare her to poo all the time. Today I said to her I saw her in my toilet last night, and she said to me, that nobody wants me and I'm a pile of poo. :P

It's funny and we both know it's a joke because we're always laughing when we say things like that to each other- yet when one of us feels down we can get serious and open up to each other. And that goes for all my friends really. xD

Yeah, I get that. Making fun of each other is natural and healthy to a degree between friends, family, lovers, etc. But that's something that just happens. What I find very weird is to actively ask your friend or whoever to make fun of you. Why would you want to force it? That's not a natural behavior anymore, it turns into a fake, put-on show.

There are jokes that are not funny by the way home from people. If you feel like they are boring then just leave them alone and move on. I don't find some joke funny that is why i prefer to be alone or with few people who understands. Quality over quantity.

I would have to disagree, If you’re unable to be teased by your friends and not laugh it off then you must have issues about your self image. Teasing builds better and longer relationships with friends. Yes sometimes it can spiral out of control. However with my experience I have yet to have it come to that.
