Ex best friend is stalking me?

So, my ex best friend stalks me. We've been besties for 16 years, and last year we cut off contact, and she started telling people her side of the story, which was not true at all, but she's popular so everyone believed her.
Not long ago, I noticed a fake profile stalkig my insta stories, and a mutual friend confirmed that it is my ex friends profile.
So, I set my account on private, but now she sent me a follow request on fake profile!
We didn't talk or even said hi for a year, so why does she feel the need to stalk me?
She put me in a bad light in front of everyone, and now she wants to stalk me!
Why is she doing this? Why can't she say hi when she sees me, but does this things?
