He always responds quickly to our other friends, and used to respond quickly to me too, but now he takes forever to reply to me. Sometimes he even takes a whole day to reply, or never does in the first place. When we talk in person it's fine, we get along great and he seems to like talking to me. But digitally it feels like he's trying to distance himself from me? Is that dumb?
He used to have a crush on me a long way back, and my boyfriend said it could possibly be because of that. But my friend would text me normally with quick replies or at least replies in the same day even when he found out that I liked someone else and it was going somewhere. And I know he's been over his crush on me for a long time because he ended up dating someone else, but that girl broke up with him a month ago. My friend also has had some personal stuff going on, so maybe he's thinking a lot about past stuff and that's why he doesn't really text me back even though he's always talking with our other friends over text?
Would it be a good idea to talk to one of my friends about this? It just makes me scared that when band camp comes around, he won't want to hang out with me anymore and I won't really have any close friends in band. And in marching band we spend so many hours a week practicing, that it doesn't feel good when you have no one to share it with.
