Do you think my friend backstabbed me?

Long story short, my friend and I met in college and we became really close. Then comes along this other girl, (I’m going to call her “C” to make things less confusing). C and my friend become really close, which was ok, because I had other friends who I became super close with. As time went on, C and I had a few arguments and just didn’t like each other. My friend knew that. I told my friend something personal, and one day C brings up what I told my friend, and uses that against me and almost got me in trouble. I was upset at my friend for telling C my business when she knows C doesn’t like me. However, my friend made it seem like she was just casually talking to C and didn’t think that C would use what I said against me. Anyway, do you think my friend backstabbed me?

I guess she either said that thing to C while perfectly knowing it was wrong, and in that case that makes her a not so good friend. Or she could also have told the truth about casually talking, maybe her tongue slipped, maybe she made C promise she'd keep it a secret and the girl didn't...
I don't think you'll ever know the truth. The only thing you should do is ask yourself if you can still trust your friend. Does she do that kind of things more and more for example? If you're feeling like you can't trust her anymore, you should try to avoid her. You have other close friends, give your time and trust to those who deserve it :)
