I do this. Not just with my brothers but all of my siblings (I have 13 of them). If they are like "Destiny, come here" I almost always respond with "What babe?" I guess some people would find that weird. I never put too much thought into it. All my siblings do the exact same thing. I call my kids babe too. I think a lot of people view the words "babe" or "baby" as a sexual term when used in reverence to anything other than a baby. But I mean, to me, my siblings will always be babies, lol. I'm the oldest out of all of them so even though they are much older now (my little sister, my 'baby' just turned 17; gross) they will always be babies in my eyes.
