How accurate are people search websites (fastpeoplesearch, whitepages, spokeo, etc)?

I’m trying to find an high friend who I haven’t talked to in years. Three websites say she moved to a new house two years ago. Six websites say she lived in that house for two years but moved back to prior address. I don’t want to spend money if the information is not accurate.

I got bored one night and searched myself and it couldn’t have been further from the truth. My current address, date of birth and place of birth was accurate however, my previous addresses and the cities and states I’d lived in where not. It said I previously lived in Altoona, PA when I’ve never even visited there.
