Guys, if your girlfriend or wife was a busy doctor or surgeon, would you be the one cooking at home?

That's the arrangement my sister-in-law has. Sometimes when her shifts ends but there is an emergency call late at night, she has to assist the patient. Her job is very demanding and exhausting.
If someone either isn't working that day or spends more time at home, he/she does the cooking. Most of the times, it's my brother doing the cooking, cleaning the house and having her dinner ready when she comes home late and super tired from work.

She only has one day off. That's the only day she cooks and does the chores. They only have one kid; a year-old daughter.

Sure. The traditional domestic/workplace partner breakdown hasn't really been a concrete reality (on society-wide scale) for a LONG time, anyway; it's really just a general rule. People find what works for them, and there's a lot of give and take in a healthy relationship.
