Well my girlfriend and I have talked about it and she makes loads more than me. I want to still get out for 25 hours a week and work part time while also taking care of the kids and house, etc. She works 60-70 hours a week so I dont see why it's a problem that I as the person working less hours and making less money can't do more of the lifting at home. It's not a big deal. The big deal is idle hands, that's a problem. We often hear so much about guys wanting kids to have strong male role models. My girl is still sub to me if that's what they're so concerned with. But that has less to do with manhood and more to do with the sexual dynamics and preferences of our relationship.
My kids are still gonna know how to fish, shoot, fight, cook, learn CPR, first aid, grow crops, how to handle large dogs, etc. And they're going to have family around who can be there for them when they really need them to be. My dad is gonna be staying with us too. Same dad that laid out a Hell's Angel flat on his ass with one hit, threw 4 security guards around a hospital room when he had a concussion and broke the cop's arm who tried to help them. Because a guy stays home he's less tough and macho now? Less manly? Nah I dont see the connection, sorry. That's some Anglican stuff pushed on us over the last few hundred years.
I seen guys on here hostile towards guys cooking their own meals. Spartans and Roman Legionaries were the "Gigachads" of the Ancient world and they cooked their own food too. The greatest chefs the world over are men. The greatest medical minds for the longest time were men. In Ancient Greece and Rome boys were taught by men. Their own father's worked and their grandfathers and male slaves from Greece and other advanced civilizations taught them. There's nothing effeminate about it, it's simply a matter of things need to get done and one of us is more available then the other. Do these same guys never clean their homes while single? Think about it.
PS: My grandfather mostly stayed at home after his sons inherited the family business. He did the cooking and some of the cleaning in the house. Same dude took grenade shrapnel, bullet through the arm, and his battalion wiped out 11,000 Russians in 2 days of fighting during Operation Barbarossa. He helped apprehend Mussolini in the Alps with his cousins when they cut off the German retreat. He also escaped a Nazi POW camp by taking out 3 of them with his concealed Walther P38. Tell me this dude wasn't masculine... It's all culture man, nothing more.
I don't like the idea of being dependable after leaving out of my parents house, usually the person who has the money and the one who paying bills are the person with the most power around the house. Plus I just don't feel comfortable using another person money, especially if I want to travel and build my own business you trying to convince me that I should travel using someone else's money.
I honestly don't like the whole idea of staying at home, while I can accept taking a break for relaxation and having to energy myself but going back to being dependent on someone else isn't as fun or great like it makes it seems, plus I don't want to have children.
I am currently being dependent on my parents and I don't like it, especially when it comes to my family Birthdays or Christmas instead of having my own money to purchase everyone gifts, I am supposed to use my parents and older sister money to buy their gifts? I hope you can tell how ridiculous this sounds
So no when I find a wife, I don't want to be dependable on her I believe in equal partnership, we both go out to make money and also stay home and split chores.
And thanks for the MHG
I'd love to have a house husband and support him grow his hobbies (gamemaster, after school sports coach, artist). He fixes the leaky sink, cleans the dishes, gets the kids ready for school, he deserves a Ps5 to play with during my after dinner to bed time ritual with the kids.
We'd hire a sitter on Friday nights so he has an evening to himself and once or twice a month I'd take him on a date, alternating between something fun like a gamestop/hiking or something fancy like a nice steakhouse/sports game.
When the inlaws come by on a long weekend, he gets that weekend off to be with his boys. Sounds like an okay life to me.

I literally am that... the stay at home guy. Some men didn't get the pussy because they have money. Dudes that flaunt money to get the girl, attract a particular type of woman more often than not. I think that situation could end in a very unhappy way given any change in emplyment or status. I guess what I'm saying is affection earned by superficial means is most likely superficial affection. There's all sorts of relationships out there, but those utilitarian relationships seem to be doomed if anything goes wrong. Relationships where 2 people agree to work together in order to survive is a lot different. It's less about give me give me gibs me, and more about "you're pulling your own weight right?"
Having retired from 42 years of diverse gainful employment, with my Wife still having two years before SHE can... it is my portion of our 'partnership' to assume the majority of routine housekeeping. THIS does not routinely imping on my chosen recreations----
I've lived alone for many years, so I already do all the work. If she wanted to work and bring in some cash, that's fine with me. Kids are out of the question though.
I've known a couple of guys who did this when they were still working age. It worked out fine with them. Although it was only temporary with one of those guys.
So I'd work hard all my life to buy the house, finally buy it, and share it as well as pay its bills and now i have to clean it and maintain it and be a servant in it until the court hands it over to her when the divorce is settled. What do i look like? Bobo to fool lol
that's a very negative view, but didn't see that. it sounds like she does nothing in your view.
You can have an opinion too. Negative or positive it's derivative from the reality you've lived or yet to live.
Not have to go to work? Ensure I live in a clean house with well raised kids? Are you kidding me? This is a no brainer. Obviously women are better suited to taking care of young children, and it boggles my mind how so many of them pass up this sweet deal, but yeah if they would rather be the wage slave I’ll happily take that deal!
It's the kind of arrangement that would have the wife out cheating with some dominant stud while the simp husband remains oblivious to what's going on.
i hadn't thought of that. anything is possible. but the reverse, the simp wife has been the case for a thousand years right?
A marriage is called a "partnership" for a reason. It's whatever is beneficial for the good of the family unit. If that means working 40+ hrs. A week so be it. If that means staying home and tending to the house and kids so be it as well.
But with where I'm at in life I don't HAVE to work again if I so choose. I'm single, but if I wasn't and as long as my partner had the same mindset that probably wouldn't change.
I worked two full-time jobs and did all the cooking and housework. My wife worked part time, paid no bills, never cooked, never cleaned and I think we had sex 11 times Total usually on my birthday.
She left me $70,000 In debt took years to recover financially and I never recovered mentally.
One day I'll end my life, I think it will be on her birthday.
During COVID the past 2 years, I sort of have become a house husband. I'm working from home while she goes out, so I take care of some of the household things that she normally takes care of.
Yeah, I would, although I don't want children, I'll learn how to cook and I don't mind cleaning and being home a lot.
Sure, so long as we had kids and the wife was making the same or more than me. She'd come home to what I come home to.
I'd love it if she could work and I could stay at home, at least till kids start school (4yrs). But OH has health issues so can't work full time so I'm the breadwinner working full time
I am one! Ha! When you work from home, "tag, your it!"
Women don't respect a guy who is a house husband, so he leaves himself vulnerable when she decides she's had enough.
Nope, not because I hate the idea of keeping the house. It's just statistically speaking your chances of divorce skyrocket when you unemployed as a man. And no even if she is the one making the money you the man are still the one who will be paying after the divorce.
statistically true?
Yes, I am seeking a FLR arrangement like this with a lady. I will be the house husband and even take her surname in marriage if she wants.
that's where I'm at now. much better than the crazy stress of business.
Lucky you!
What does FLR mean!

Sounds more like you want to become her servant instead. Do you want to be a girl personal servant or you just prefer to be dependent on a girl without being a servant for her.
ya so she can "stay late at the office" when in reality everyone from all the departments at her work even the janitor are running a train on her nappy ass while you are at home folding her panties that more than likely had random dudes spunk funk all up in em?
yeah while you're at it cut off your balls and give them to her to store in her purse
No way, I like to earn and provide too.
We'll work and do chores together.
That's not how it's supposed to be. There's nothing wrong with doing house chores as a man but not working at all as one is wrong.
No, I already am a great cook and can maintain and clean way better than others. But I love my work too and in this age of divorce where courts favor women, it can be devastating to become a guy with no income.
I think a lot of men would not mind that, but as a society we know women would not be okay with that!
In my past I've often thought about lazing around the house all day and all I have to do is make my woman happy l would do whatever I needed too just to make her 😉😍
I'm open-minded enough to consider it. That's not my goal, though.
I work from home. So half way there. If I do the dishes I get a BJ
Laundry... she swallows.
Pre COVID, I would have said no.
now after working from home I can see how it could work and I’d be fine with that
No, because I wasn't raised to be that way. It's like asking if I would become a drag queen if my wife wanted that. Nope.
I mean I also don't want to become a househusband but I don't see how it compatible to a drag queen though.
@FinalFantasyBro Both would be a guy going against nature and thousands of years of human social behavior. But people always want to focus on exceptions to the rule, as if that makes something normal.
While I have zero interest in being either but I honestly don't consider househusband as a drag queen considering one is only doing house work while the other is dressing up as a woman but I can see how you made the correlation.
@FinalFantasyBro The older I got the more I realized the importance of being a good role model. If a guy has kid (s) and he is behaving in this way then he's training his kids to believe it's the preferred way for a man to behave. Even if it happened to work out for him, it's absolutely not. And the fact that the vast majority of women aren't looking for a house husband/whatever you call it is evidence of that.
@FinalFantasyBro Yes, it's easier for a man to stay at home than to do all of the stuff that men traditionally did and today many guys have fewer responsibilities than their ancestors. Some see it as a plus but I do not.
Yes I definitely approve on the message unfortunately slot of people did become more comfort focused, I wonder where everyone ambition and trying to succeed in life. I have big goals that I want to achieve, I haven't grown as an adult to only stay with kids around the house, I personally find it as a boring lifestyle.
@FinalFantasyBro I'd also add that even if a guy does not have kids what he does matters and he can either contribute to building society or to destroying it. You can also indirectly influence people in bad ways or good ways (role modeling). When people got the freedom to do almost anything they want without any consequences, society started going downhill. Some people don't want to wrap their minds around that because doing the right thing is HARDER... so they make excuses or claim that me saying that means I support racism or some other bs to deflect from the point.
maybe watch the kids? Would you have an option? Wrap them in saran wrap?
my wifey is da money maker on grape all day look in the mirror no need to work stay home all day watch family guy and hold her 💯💯💯💯💯💯
I work from home already cause I have a remote job as a programmer. Wouldn't be too bad.
If she wanted me to and made good money then sure at least after we have kids to take care of them not before though
I would do it for myself. I mean, I would work from home so maybe.
I did it when I was in grad school.
I wouldn't mind being a pool boy, lol.
I retired to be a stay at home dad
I would make a great house husband...
I turn insane if i don't make my own money.
Just ordered me a juicer machine for ~ $150 because i love drinking fresh juices. Think a wife would do that if I just asked? Whatever the case is, I work, I got the money, I want it, I bought it. Now I wait for it to arrive, so i can relish on some fresh juices 😋
ah, scratch that amount. it's $118, not $150. No discounts applied.
I wouldn't mind a husband like that
I would not. This is sick and morally wrong.
yup!
No way in hell.
Negative.
