My mom and I always argue at least a couple of times a day and it drains me. She’s so rude to me sometimes and acts like I’m the most annoying things ever and will hold stuff over my head. I’m in college and I’m visiting home. My parents are separated. My mom is a decent mom at times and still provides food. Everytime we argue she’ll always say something like she’s going through a lot and I should be nice and her and my younger sister will pair up to talk about me and laugh at me sometimes.
I have a boyfriend now and I’m only home for a short period and I don’t have a car and neither does he. He always wants to hangout and stuff but everytime I just ask my mom to drive me she gives me hell. I know I don’t owe her anything but I’m not a brat to her. I loan her money whenever she asks. But I do have money of my own. Today I asked her to drive me to the mall so I could see my boyfriend and she kept saying that she didn’t know and that she had errands to run. She does this everytime I ask her to drive me somewhere. It’s soo annoying because she holds it over my head, I would rather her just say no and leave it at that. This morning I asked and she said she had to go to a furniture store which was random. A few minutes later she called me from my room and I came out and said “yeah?” And I guess she didn’t like the way I said it and then just kept on saying never mind over and over again. I asked her what did she call me for and she said it was my tone when all I said was yeah. She told me to forget it and said that she was gonna take me after she went to the store but I should forget it and ask my dad instead. Literally all I said was “yeah” and I’m tired of her holding stuff over my head. He lives in another house so I don't know his plans for today and I’m not that close to him.
I told her about me and my boyfriend hanging out today like a week ago so she knew. What should I do? Should I just Uber to avoid this bullshit? I’m in college so I have to save money
