Why is my mom such a bitch?

I hate her so much she keeps lying about things to me, gets happy when things go wrong etc. I would almost not believe she's my mother if I hadn't seen proof.

I am almost convinced that my mom had a whatever attitude towards me since I was a child. I remember being neglected (she'd send me to school with my teeth not brushed), forget to pack my lunches, I can't remember many times that she was actually caring towards me.

She really is a bitch.

First, regardless if she is your mother or not. That actually doesn’t matter.
You haven’t simply experienced same things as she did in the past. That’s all. We are being shaped by events and experiences. Maybe her life prepared her only to be that way. Try to search what it is, why.. the search (hopefully) will make you love her. If you reject the idea, then answer is simpler.. you would need to look deeper at yourself. Try the first idea.
I don’t like many things with my parents but I grew out of it by learning about them. Unfortunately you can’t change them. You can only accept them.

She's just fucked in the head and we just can't fix it.

She was always like that with me.
She would control my mood, manipulate me, lie to me, cheat and just basically abuse me.
Now she intimidates our son, lies to him and controls him.
He cries at night sometimes because she's so hard to deal with.

Sort of.
I mean, she's only capable of so much.
She's a very selfish, heartless person in a lot of ways and she would be the first one to admit it.
She cares more about how things look to others rather than how they are.
She's fake.
She can love you one minute and stab you in the back the next.
I do respect that she didn't have an abortion and she had enough courage to actually be a mom and let me be a dad.
We had lots of passion, but she's just not a deep person who considers other people's feelings.
She just does whatever she wants and she has a short temper.
She's bossy and sadistic sometimes. I'm baffled that I had a long marriage with her and we raised a baby together.
She's just inconsistent and scary sometimes.
Not all times, but her moods are so crazy.
She's happy one day and then bitchy for 3 days and nobody else can be happy if she isn't.
