Why is my mom so fucking annoying?

She complains all the time. I mean ALL THE TIME. She lives with her 28 year old son and complains yet doesn't do anything to change it. She will complain how she never gets to shower (the shower is in their room) and how they are always in there. We only have a bath. She will complain how she's tired and can't seem to rest yet she's always up and watches too much damn tv or up cleaning and doing stuff. She complains I'm lazy and never helps her yet I'm the only one who does help her out. None of my other siblings do. They're selfish and only think of themselves. She's sexist and spoils the shit out of my brother which is a prick. She always wants to have everything to herself. We share a room and bedroom yet my sisters get a bed of their own. She kicks me out of the room sometimes cause she says "I'm always in there" yesterday was her birthday and I spent my last dime on her and bought her a gift and cake and later on bought her the food she's been craving for a couple of days. She then goes on and tells me a normal family would be out with her boyfriend/husband on her birthday (she knows how badly i want a close family) she's all backwards and I disagreed with what she said. (she's divorced from my dad) so yesterday we went to the pool at my sisters apartment and there were 3 people in it and she refused to go in cause there 3 other people in it like what does she expect? it's a public pool and also it was like 102 degrees out. She kept complaining out loud too and I feel the other people heard her. She's embarrassing and then this guy brought his toddler and she was like "ew I'm getting out, I don't want any kid pooping and pissing in this water." NASTY.

Like wtf is her problem she's so negative and is always killing my vibe. I can't be happy cause she's always so negative and complains about everything.

and the family that was in the pool was having fun and she was all saying how they are annoying. they were playing marco polo. and she's all i don't understand people why are they so annoying or something like that.

Mom sounds like a real BIT*H sorry you gotta deal with that... but know that your mom probably has had a hard life of her own considering a lot of people don't act that way for no reason but you never know and hey of you ever want to vent about her that's kinda what this app is for but maybe if you can move out without some friends or standup to her cause the moment some people learn they need you is when you abandon them

my mom ask me to move in I told her no. She was always unhappy. She used to call me and complain. She got mad when I told no and stop talking to me. My friends get mad at I don't miss her. Its sad but true now I know why dad left. We did leave

All that negativity! Does she drink? Is she going through menopause? She sounds like she just can't be happy, wanting to make everyone miserable with her. Mean parents like this usually have favored children and one in particular they pick on. Is it you?

the family has been more mean to me these past few years. when I try to explain to her she invalidates me and says they aren't doing nothing and that I'm too sensitive and overreacting. or that it's all in my head. that they are "normal"

that's true. I was finally getting confidence and it went back down when I came back with the family. they think everything their doing is right when it's actually so backwards

Maybe you should just get away from them? Some of us come from dysfunction and we seem to be the only people whom it bothers. It is bothering us for a reason though. You know it's wrong. They won't ever admit or even let themselves realize it.

My aunt is negative too. She's on depression meds. And it seems to help. Your mom is unhappy which makes her complain a lot. Try a therapist or depression meds. My aunt was never that negative. Life caused her to be that way.

I have a similar situation. You see, back when I was not even 6 years old, my mom started teaching me how to clean the house, like moping and vacuuming the house floors. I couldn't even hold our big ass SHARK vacuum! Now, I am 15 years old, I have been sick with phlegm in my throat for the past week, and whenever I talk to her, like asking for medicine, she is blaming me for "Having an attitude", even if its hard to talk with all the phlegm in my throat. She is perfectly healthy, and she acts like the victim when she does something bad. I feel sorry man, I really do. Some people just do not understand what people like me and you and the other commenters on this page go through. Feel better, man!
