Why would a friend react like this?

So me and a friend (girl) were having a conversation and she says that she's about to plan her honeymoon right now. So respectfully I said I'll leave the convo to get on with that. So she replies..

"Yes you do that xD I'm enjoying it"
"I'm very lucky to be loved"

I replied jokingly:
"well then you should get on with it without distraction ha" this was immediately read by her (whoops 🤭😂)

She replied: "no need to be snappy o. O I'll leave you be!"

I wasn't being snappy tho so I said:
"no no, just cheeky"

Why is this girl behaving in a strange way? I don't get it

Update: I told her why I had to leave the convo, she came back and said she's stressed as everyone keeps giving her opinions on her wedding (I thought she was planning her honeymoon?) and she's going to now sit with her fiance to think it through because she wants a tiny wedding. And she hoped my issue was fixed (that's nice of her to say^^). So anyway thanks to all of you for your opinions, I just told her that it's difficult knowing her state of mind when she messages me.

She certainly didn't need to state " i'm very lucky to be loved" like romantically, sure yeah. Not usually out loud in mind of a weird way of how the conversation flowed. She then took that as an insult like you may have taken her comment as possible jealousy, dislike, some such negativity. Then snapped her self , claiming you're snappy. Its an entire reason its unfortunate that tone and body language do not carry over written messages. Also each persons state of mind at the time themselves. 100℅ miscommunication and interpretation

I see well I thought it would be funny for me because I noticed she was still online and potentially inside the convo waiting for my response. That made me come up with a whitty comment and I was right 😂 do you think she wouldve liked me to have been different?

Huh? I've already congratulated her for being engaged to marry, she spoke about her plans in February. I thought if she's planning it today that I shouldn't continue having conversation.

oh then she's just repetitive. Well she was still keeping the conversation going she may have taken the way it was worded as something else, not letting her go to get her planning going. She took it more like you said " fine piss off then" rather the positive support giving time.

I've just messaged her then that I'd liked to have stayed but I had my reasons for needing to go (I explained) and it wasn't because I was being silly. That's all I can do I guess, but i did have on my mind that I wouldn't be able to stay

‘I’m lucky to be loved’ was not necessary to say because that is logical when you are engaged. So maybe she isn’t happy being engaged with that person and because you are a guy she gets irritated with you.

Oh no that sort of makes sense now because previously a few days ago she was talking about a book where she was on the lines of saying the a couple in it were wrong for each other. So she get irritated with me? What should I do or say?

Sometimes people get a bit defensive when they are stressed. I have snapped at my friends too when they were joking and I was stressed. Then I explained how I was feeling overwhelmed with stuff and my friend forgave me. Other times jokes don’t translate well over text.
