Once in a while, yes. People know they have a writing style. They may try to hide it if they want to comment but not be known making a statement about that topic.

I am pretty good at noticing when a person closes their account and then reappears at some point, under another. I'll message those people sometimes. (Also, new users don't have messaging rights, so it's a nice thing to do.)
