Do a lot or some of people choose their friends based on their looks?

My friends are chosen based on mutual interests, beliefs- though we don't always agree on all issues, and compatibility: if you're spending a week fishing together in Baja, you need guys who won't get on your nerves... at not too much!

Yes but you could be wrong about why those people rejected you. Sometimes fugly/less attractive people will tell a good looking person that they're ugly and push them away but what's really going on is that they know they can't compete with you and they don't want you getting in the way of them attracting someone. They can't give you a compliment and put themselves down tho so they just claim that you're ugly. Seen it happen.

Also the ONLY real judge of your attractiveness is the opposite sex. Doesn't really matter what someone your own gender says.

Women consider me very attractive and yes, when I did visual tests I was told that I prefer more attractive women. Doesn't really change anything I said above tho. You can't really see/judge women they way a man does. Many times in my life I (and most guys) found a woman very sexy yet women claimed she was fugly. So keep that in mind.
