Yes! I only took it because I’m adopted. I've never looked like anyone I met or saw anywhere so I was curious as to who and what I am. I didn’t find out I was adopted until I was about 14, so I only really knew my mother’s side because of birth records. I look just like my mother. My maternal aunt was in close contact with me and my adoptive family since my mother had passed away. She wanted to help with ancestry and genealogy. She bought me a DNA test so I could find my father. I ended up finding my fathers sister, my paternal aunt. I found out I’m (very obviously) white, japanese, and African 😂 Specifically; English, scottish, european, irish, norwegian, japanese, cameroon, congolese, nigerian, senegalese, malian.
I found a picture of my father and he looks exactly like my twin sister.
It all made sense. I don’t care much about what ethnicity I am, I just wanted to find my father and see what he looked like. It was cool to read though.

Not really, but im guessing it would mostly be indian.. i do have burmese ancestry, but im not sure.
Are these tests legit?
It is really cool if you don't know your family tree, and also, you have a choice to allow Ancestry to share your DNA test, and it will show you other people who also took a test, that has a DNA connection to yours. Also, get a chance to learn more things about yourself.
Just make sure to go back in check it maybe once a month, the initial information you get from it, will not stay the same and changes frequently.
My interesting one was that no one in my family had Native American DNA in us at all, despite the fact my grandmother on my moms side grew up on a reservation and her entire family lives on a reservation, makes you question if she was really Native American or not.
I have thought about doing this myself now Dr. Phil recommends 23andme so who knows I would go with the one that has the highest Stars, Now my third cousin
looks like a light-skinned Latina but she took the test and came back with 43%

To me that's all hocus pocus.
This may reveal how my DNA is put together - but it will say nothing about my physical ancestors.
It's like testing a piece of metal and finding out that it's i. e. made of iron, copper and some chromium.
But: what has it been before? A screw? A tool? A ship?My dad did a couple years ago.
I bought myself one yesterday!
Time to find out if he's really my dad. JkNah cause i never really cared to know. I won't meet my ancestors til i die, so im not worried about it
Yes, it confirmed what I already knew. I'm the family genealogist and I knew where my ancestors came from, going back to the late 1600s.
Yes and it somewhat works. I just don't know how accurate it is, because I got a different answer on where I currently have my ancestors than it actually shows. Add to that some wrong percentage of my genetics.
I've wanted to but they be asking for birthdate and info I don't got unless I go ask my parents and that to much work
Nope. Not interested, already know my ancestry, and also really not interested in these companies having my DNA.
Yep! Currently waiting on the results. I posted the test on Tuesday.
Nah they use your information and sell it to the police.
There this dude they sold his DNA to police and they used it arrest him. But I believe it was his father or brother that committed the crime or something.I had a DNA test on 23andMe, upload the results on Ancestry. com. Not terribly surprised by the results, but will give you a good idea of your fathers side of the family. Go for it!
Yeah wait till the police connect your DNA to a rape case to your great grand parents.
yes but i’d have your brother do it for u if you have one, i remember reading the tests are more accurate when there’s a x and y chromosome.
No, but also just because it's super predictable for me
No. I don't have any ancestors from other countries.
No. I refuse to have my dna collected by corporations.
nope and don't plan to either. i got no intention of the government or the fbi or police getting a hold of my dna and using it against me
no, i'm not in the mood for the illuminats to build a robot copy of me
Only down fall is the FBI has access to it after and can track certain people down by it if related
I’ve done it and wasn’t at all surprised 😂
No! Why? Is one missing?
