Huh. I never asked. Probably not because they have pets, and I don’t want to move mine. The nice thing about a sitter is you don’t have to take your pet out of their environment
That's where you and I did for, I believe religion is a made up thing to control people. I have friends that I've trusted my entire life and they've never done me wrong
We send our dog to a dog daycare. It also offers lodging for them too. They get to play with other dogs all day. We cancel our mail and have different lights set to different times. Then we take our 5th wheel to Disney World.
Honestly I wouldn’t mind if I knew them real well and trust them not to steel my shit. But on the flip side I would love to house sit an attractive girl’s house, the first thing I would do is go to her panty drawer and see what she wears.
I would only ask a friend or known neighbor to do the work. And I would pay them as it is work. My pets knowing them helps their comfort. I wouldn’t trust a service. That would be a thing for me.
in my case, I have a couple of places, and on both sides of the border so yes... people do break into houses and steal your shit... and they do steal or mess with stuff that he house really needs, there's also squatters and all kinds of crazy stuff... you would not want your place to end up as a joint, or a meth lab.. lmfao
if it is a place you're not living in, it is best that you keep the house occupied, so the water runs, and gas... electricity is working, it's like engines, if they're not working and not being used, they will just wear out quicker, so you just rent that place or, let someone "house sit" for you
now, if it is a place were you actually LIVE IN, maybe you go on longer vacations, maybe you're on business travel for a long long time, so you need someone to watch over your pets, your plants, and you would also want someone to look out for your stuff, because yes... some people really like to take the stuff that is not theirs, given the opportunity... and many of them see it as "the owner has not come back in a week, I guess they don't need their stuff, I will take it"
there's also little things that should be checked, especially during harsh or more extreme weather, floods, storms, winters... that kind of stuff can mess with your electricity, gas installations, and so many other things... AND, at least in my case, if people live their house long enough... all kinds of little critters invite themselves to your house, spiders, ants, all kinds of bugs, rodents... and what not
One thing is for sure... I might let people housesit at my place, but my bedroom and especially my basement are always locked... lmao, that part of the house takes care by itself
I have had so. ebody house sit and look after my pets. They were well looked after and the house was well maintained. The trick is to know the person and what they are like.
I would if necessary. But I live in a very safe neighborhood so not concerned with thefts, etc. only if I was away for a month or so which I occasionally am.

Only if I had a pet and ideally I'd have someone from the family come and help out with that.
Other then that there's no reason for someone to be in my house when I'm not.
Yea i dont want anyone in my crib if i ain't there
For sure.
Yeah have done it twice for pets.
Close friends that like our pets and we trust. Otherwise no way.
Would they be cool with the pets staying at their house?

Not at all. I would rather do the hardships myself but not in anybody's hands.
But decisions may change as per the situation.
I see
I would absolutely let someone house sit, typically it is someone that you've known for a long time and trust with your prized possessions
I dont trusr anyone but the Lord
*trust

my shit. But on the flip side I would love to house sit an attractive girl’s house, the first thing I would do is go to her panty drawer and see what she wears.
Dont be a creep
I figured you would let strangers sleep in your bed and everything... 😂 😂
I've never done anything sexual with a stranger. I dont mind screwing my boyfriend in front of strangers. But im not going to fuck a stranger
I believe here are licensed and bonded service providers to meet that need.
Cheers
I dont see why either are needed
I've housesat/petsat for a couple of people, lol.
I'd trust them as well. It's mostly coworkers though.
I’ve heard of people house sitting but I don’t really get the point of it… and I don’t think I would feel the need to have someone housesit for me
Yea its unnecessary
As of now, no. And a big NO to strangers. Now if we later acquired animals that needed tending. Then maybe a trusted individual.
I've never done it and I don't think I'd ask someone but I'd be okay with doing it occasionally.
I see
I would have to. I have pets, and boarding them ain’t gonna happen.
Would the housesitters except the pets coning to their house instead

(some) neighbors, (some) friends, (some) relatives and family, yes I have done it...
Oh okay
in my case, I have a couple of places, and on both sides of the border so yes... people do break into houses and steal your shit... and they do steal or mess with stuff that he house really needs, there's also squatters and all kinds of crazy stuff... you would not want your place to end up as a joint, or a meth lab.. lmfao

Yea i wouldn't do vacation homes or anything
I house sat for my friend for two months while he was in Africa fighting Ebola. It rained a lot and his yard is huge, I was mowing constantly lol.
Let our cousins stay while we were in Florida. They rifled through everything and stole a coin collection.
Seee, oh heck nawl
I have had so. ebody house sit and look after my pets. They were well looked after and the house was well maintained. The trick is to know the person and what they are like.
I know my fam and friends and thats why i wouldn't dare let them
Sounds like you need new family and friends you can trust.
Nah out with the old and be a lonewolf 💪
Does that mean you don't want to be my friend? I could be your very special friend. 😉 😜
I dont do friends with married men
I wouldn't expect you to. Just poking fun at you.
I would if necessary. But I live in a very safe neighborhood so not concerned with thefts, etc. only if I was away for a month or so which I occasionally am.
Yea thats what im saying, if the neighborhood is safe then i dont get why people need a housesitter
When I go away for 4-6 weeks, much easier to have someone stay in house to keep it clean, dust free, toilets flushed, pool area kept clean, etc.
What happens if toilets aren't fkushed for 6 weeks
Yes absolutely. 3 dogs, 4 guinea pigs, the turtle and fish all need to eat not to mention a slew of houseplants.
Sure my dad used to housesit when we went on holiday usually because there was some decorating that would be easier without people under foot
