How would you feel if your parents magically looked completely different one day?

I would be distraught, familiarity is so very important.

They had their same personality and everything, they just looked like a completely different person.

I'd be freaked out by it at first. As something like that. While it occurs in prison. Isn't possible. At least not in the sense you mean. There's cosmetic surgery or trauma. But they wouldn't be comparable to a whole new body.

Anyways, I'd get used to it. The tougher part is their identity. How do you get that legally updated. The government wouldn't be so understanding of something which is currently impossible.

I think I would be completely shocked. It's very important that they look like themselves. So I would want to know exactly what happened and why. And I might have trouble believing they're the same people and not some kind of doppelganger

I would definitely feel heartbroken. My parents already look opposite of me (I’m adopted), but they’re all I have ever really known, recognized, and familiarized as my parents, so it would devastate me to see that the only parents I have ever known, look so alien to me. Even if they had the same voice and personality, I wouldn’t be able to ever get over it.

I wouldn't like that. Of course if my dad's new look included him having hair, I might be happy for him, but I still wouldn't like it. I certainly wouldn't want them looking younger. That would be jarring.
