I think it depends how a person was raised, so it can happen at any age. I grew up w/my Mother and my Grandma. My Mother was more of a chill hippie lady that stressed working, school, and a good retirement. She always said it's quality over quantity so we never went to Wal Mart or Target. My Grandma had the same moral value, but she was a beauty freak so I was wearing good makeup/skincare when I was only a kid. Estee Lauder and Christian Dior for life! They took my brothers and I many places and showed us many things growing up. So now I am a very simple person. All I want is to find an old '70 something Pontiac Trans Am Firebird and go somewhere in the jungle to see the exotic animals and plants.

As some said "finer" is pretty subjective.
    For me, I'll say 25/26.
That's when I started to travel more, get massages, waxed, and engage in more self care.
Traveling is a huge one for me because as a teen and early 20's i had zero interest in it.

It varies I know people in their forties who still only care for getting hammered on the cheapest piss

Me well I turned 18 and was drinking 18 year old Glenfiddich, picked up a habit for Cuban cigars the following year and never looked back

    N. b. now I am waiting for my 26th to crack open the 26 year old Glenfiddich

Shallow people get a buyers high off or random shit until the new car smell wears off. There is no age for that behavior.

I think it depends on when they were exposed to it. If you were taught an appreciation then very young. If you discovered it then perhaps around late 20s.

When something big happens. A close death or illness. Most people need a good shake to the system to reach that view.

I feel like it more depends on each person specifically, rather than a whole age group.

    Define "finer".

It's a pretty subjective term, and depending on what you think qualifies, the answer could be anything from whenever they feel like it, to never.

I would say early 30's maybe? Although it varies.
