My case:
I was their first child and when mom was pregnant (before finding out my gender), my father assumed it would be a strong boy and kept saying ''that's my boy, you'll be a wrestler just like my grandpa'' and while I was still in the belly spoke to me as if I was a boy. I turned out less feminine than my mother, played less attention to dolls, sometimes wrestled and played with boys as a kid and trained in Judo. Eventually my feminine side grew but I'm still not very girly.
My brother's case (he was born 7 years later):
My parents were going through a rough time and they didn't care about the gender. They would keep arguing but eventually settled their differences. My father didn't say the same speech as with him but just wanted the child to be healthy and strong.
He never took interest in martial arts but instead likes drawing, is an introvert and used to get bullied all the way to 8th grade for being a sensitive child. He still gets more emotional than me sad films or animal cruelty. I find it sad too, but he's always been more emotional.
