Is it considered normal to go with ur father to summerhouse to spend time together?

Please define "summerhouse". Is this some kind of vacation rental? cottage? or just a term for a vacation?

I have taken a few vacations with just me and dad. He and my brothers naturally did a lot of things together growing up, so I was able to get some daughter time on occasion too. Felt normal to me.

I mean I was brought up in a working class area with a Dad who worked in the Navy on Submarines so was away from home for months on end, so I have no idea what your question means or even what a summerhouse is! lol
