Emotionally? Probably my mom.


My dad isn’t much of an affectionate person. He never sat down and wanted to have deep conversations like my mom would. He was never the emotional type. He’s a pretty cold and distant person, but he shows his affection and love by spoiling you with gifts or doing things for you. Lol, not much of the type to say “I’m proud of you, you’re great, I love you.” I never had the emotional closeness with him to feel comfortable being able to express emotions to him.


My mom is definitely my rock. It’s not because she’s another woman, but because she went above and beyond to show me that she is there for me. She is willing to drop everything and listen to my problems, help me through breakups, help me with anxiety etc. She was the one who did everything for me in regards to emotions. My dad would always refer me to my mom if I had to talk about something deeper than the surface level. I definitely created a stronger emotional connection with her, because she showed her love that way.
