My mom called my boyfriend ‘random’ and I’m upset about it?

I’ve been with my boyfriend for 3 months. We were talking about taking a trip abroad , as my dad lives abroad and has a house there. I was speaking about it to my mom today and she said she doesn’t think my dad would like it that I would bring a ‘random’ guy there. I know we haven’t been together long but I felt this was unnecessary. Should I let it slip?

Sometimes it takes parents a while to warm up to significant others. He would be a complete stranger to you father. A home is an asset, full of personal items and memories. Letting strangers stay at our homes takes trust

Maybe she meant a 'random guy" to your dad, as he's a complete stranger to him. I think you should just let it go. I'm sure your mom didn't mean it the way that you're taking it.
