If you were a product of rape and your mother (a kid) died giving birth, do you want to know that?

My friend was originally born in Honduras (now in her late 20's) but was adopted and raised in New Jersey. Her biological mother was a raped 10 year-old girl and she didn't survive the C-section. Her young body wasn't strong enough to tolerate the procedure.

In her late teens she insisted on wanting to know the truth about her bio parents and so they told her. If that was your case, would you want to know that?

I would still want to know as much information as possible about my origins, no matter how bad they were. My own weren’t the best, though nowhere near as bad as your friend’s.

yeah I wouldn't want to know if it's something that horrible. My friend is different. Even if it's bad, she still wants to know the truth. I don't know what good was to know that. A poor child's innocence and life got taken away so soon.

She felt she was old enough to understand by then and so they told her. She felt so sad for her bio mother that she cried for what happened to her. She got her innocence and life taken away so early in life.

That’s very sad. She was likely told too early then. Because that innocence went away and I’m sure even now she reflects on her mom and the tragedy that occurred. Does she still cry?

She doesn't cry anymore. It was only at that moment and the first couple days. She does however, keeps a picture of her bio mother on her drawer. She have to admit, my friend's facial features resembles that kid. It's like she looks like an adult version of how that kid would've looked like if she were alive. Even she told me herself that she looks like her. Very sad indeed.

Does it give motivation to know while the moms life was cut short, she can help others now and be a better person while she is alive?

Yes, her bio mom was her motivation for participating in both anti-bullying campaigns and organizations/programs for abused kids. Whenever she helps or saves a kid (or gets the abuser arrested), she feel a major accomplishment has been done and that her bio mom would've been glad.

Yes, not many people are raised with good values. I met her through a mutual friend at a family gathering.

Sometimes we hang out during our free time and have lunch or visit relatives.

In my opinion, I think at the age of 18 would've been better and she felt mature at the age of 14. She's the type of person that no matter how bad is it, she wants to know the truth.
